That's funny, I fix the things our local geek squad breaks.... Actually, we usually get a few things that Geek Squad charges too much to look at. We can usually fix it for less than their cost of looking at it to see if it can be fixed. And I hate macs. Not so much the using them part, but the disassembly/reassembly part. Some of the ways Macs are built seems so stupid from a repair point of view. (like an hour of labor just to remove a failed hard drive? Two screws, and 5 minutes does the same thing on most other laptops.)

On a side note though, have you seen the TV show "Chuck"? :D "Nerd Herd" cracks me up every time.

lol Do you need to start in the trunk to get them out? Using a #3 Philips for the first 20 screws until they throw a random nut or torx in just to make you stop what your doing, go dig up the right tool, and then figure out where you left off too?

I am a Quality Assurance Specialist for NASA. I used to be the Government inspector for the space suit but have since been "promoted" and now I am doing "Procurement Quality Assurance", which is reviewing contracts and ensuring quality requirements are imposed on NASA subcontractors.

I retired two years ago after spending near 28 years in the USAF. My wife is also retired USAF so I probably could have chosen to not do much of anything after retirement. That said, I've not been unemployed since I was about 12 (presuming, of course, a paper route counts as employment) so doing nothing other than honey-dos and tinkering did not appeal to me.

I had three job offers after I retired; each paid near 75K a year. Two were in Cali; one outside of Wash, D.C. I could pick up the phone and get another job in Georgia tomorrow but....

Soapbox...there is much to be said for creating balance in one's life; too much of anything is never good. My goal for an after retirement job was to do something I thoroughly enjoy. The pay/hours had to be respectable but the most important aspect was I had to look forward to getting up in the morning and going. If the pay is phenomenal but most everything else sucks, what's the point? ...off soapbox.

I've been doing photography for a long time and selling my photos in an Art Gallery for almost 5 years. I'll never be famous or make it rich but it is fun. That actually led to my after-life job/hobby.

I've always had an immense appreciation for art and decided I would try to find a job where I would be surrounded by it. So... for the last 2 years I've been working for a small company as a designer and framer of art. I work with all kinds...Interior Designers, local Artists, Museums, Hotel and other corporations.

Great pay, hours and benefits plus... it is a fun and rewarding job; I hope to be doing it for a long time to come.

    I'm a high school student. Sophmore-type.

Outside of high school, I'm a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol (US Air Force Auxiliary). I've been in almost 4 years, and it kicks ass. I've gotten to do some pretty tight things (for a 16 year old).
