That is what it seems like. I'm plating over the frame mount too. Awesome. That time frame should work out if they go well

Motor mount design is here. Did some rough cardboard test fit to get some measurements and finished up the design. If I have time this week I'll send part of it out to get them cut out. I tried to make these look a bit different than the designs you see on here.

Well color me excited, those look beefy. Any chance to run them through stress simulation? I'm sure they are more than strong enough but it is always cool to boast that it can pull a semi truck full of empire state buildings.

Unfortunately that feature doesn't work for me. I got the hacked version which is full of bugs. These things are way over built. I can do good old fashion hand calcs. I'd probably look at fatigue. I used the fat poly bushings you stick inside your leaf springs. Hoping that amount of rubber cuts down on the harshness of the motor at low rpms. I need to beef up the frame side mounts just so they don't break. Only problem is these mounts will transfer all that energy straight into your frame, but they will make the frame feel like you have a mini engine cage. Right now I'm having a guy on here cnc plasma cut them out for me.

Pulling the head off soon to put a rebuilt one on to fix my cyl 2 issue. Old motor needs to be cracked open to put up with me. Let's see how much the holidays get in the way right now.

You had a head issue too? What's the reason for cyl 2 issues?

Mine is a burnt exhaust valve. There is a 30k valve check interval on maintenance with our rz engines. I'm sure my valves never been checked. Also my intake manifold gasket is wet near the fuel injector so I probably have a leak there also. Very pissed #2

Gotcha, that blows. I wish I would have had the time to build my own head but a local company did mine and they really did a great job. The took everything from my old head casting and moved it over while replacing all the seals in the process and making sure the valves were properly seating. I apparently had a super dry and rotted injector seat tok. Hopefully that's all yours is and not a bad injector.

Just read through the whole thing and I've gotta say... I'm a little jelly. I love my crawler but I've always loved the idea of a go fast build, just nowhere to run it on this side of the country.

I'm going to have my pinks flow tested while I rebuild just so I can see their numbers. I actually bought a whole new remanufactured head. I have stripped out exhaust threads and a bunch of issues so I went the easy route. Might of been 100-200 bucks more to do it this way, but it's easier than dealing with my grouchy machinist in the area.

I've cruised your build a while back. Been jealous of the paint job. I want to do a green camo style job one day. Every once in a while I'm like I really want 4x4. The other half of the trails out here are hills. I have yet to ride in a crawler so I don't know what I'm missing on your end of the country.

Yeah the plastidip turned out awesome! And it's a whole other world out here.. nothing but hills, tight trails, and big rocks.

Love how LCE can put 1000hp in your motor. I'm just good with my 310hp 5vzfe. Im going for more eventually.

Half built half bought. Someone made the manifold and I hacked it up just a little bit to work around the engine cage. It's plumbing tubing and a laser cut flanges

No 1000hp for me. That for 1/4 mile. I'm only going to get up to about 300hp. My truck can't handle much more than that.

Heard that, I wish I could come across something already made. Looking like I'm going to have to build my own or drop some coin on a nice one.. I'm cheap so I'm looking at this http://www.mazworx.com/store/p/76-Mazworx-Log-Manifold-Kit-4-Cylinder.aspx

Only catch is I don't have a tig setup so I'd have to find someone to tig and back purge it..

I mig welded mine. The metal is so thick I have yet to crack it. That design is hard to break. Great for low power. After welding I decked each flange a little bit to get a flat seal to the gasket
