I put my surf leash around my neck :anonymous:

Nah just kidding, the mouth mount has a leash you connect to your wetsuit zipper.

This is where I have put all my radios (CB or HAM). Out of the way, easy to reach and readily available power.

    Am I doing this right?
I was thinking of mounting one in the center arm rest console. I like the idea of it being out of the way/sight.

Except when someone gets on your channel and you have to switch channels while driving down a sketchy dirt road....unless he happens to come on the channel and tell you the entire history of the trail on which you're driving with a country drawl. (true story from Big Bear and it was awesome).

Lol that sounds so weird but awesome. Do you have an external speaker? I was thinking of just running the aux cord to my sound system

No. The built in speaker of my units have been sufficient.

The one you have has a good speaker. I didn't need anything additional when I ran it. That being said, after using my little handheld ham for the first time, I don't think I'll ever go back! It's time to get my license and a real setup!

Nice! Thats the same one I have.. Same as @deadhed61 too I think. I have an SWR you can borrow when it comes time to tune.

I have mine mounted like this-- makes it easy to access the controls and the speaker is facing me.
