Boss 2.0 or Bilstein 6112/5160 combo?

They give more adjustment for getting the alignment correct.

 

Took her for an offroad test drive today. The new suspension is very plush and was smooth even on nasty wash board. It seemed to flex very well and should work even better when it's broken in a little more. The after measurement from center spindle to bottom of fender is 23 3/4 inches.

 

Great looking setup! It's tough to tell from the photo, but did you install the driver side spacer they included for the taco lean? If so, does the truck sit pretty evenly side to side?

 

The spacer came with the kit and it is in! Yes, it looks very even to me side to side.

 

Just ordered the same kit for my Truck today.

 

where does a guy look into one of these? I can only find the toytec lifts.

I was happy to see the $110 option of them sending the struts assembled. Thats worth it completely to me, don't have to even drag out my Strut compressor. Nice easy work.

 

I had them assemble mine and set them on the fifth notch.

 

Got my tires and wheels. 285/75/R16 KO2's and SR8 stealth wheels. They rub pretty bad on the cab mount so getting a CMC done. YF12 in the background, only 3 were ever made.

what lift do you have or is that stock? Trying to decide on 285 tires or not, i don't want any issues,, looking at toytec lift or something from headstrong.

 

I went with the 6112/5160 Bilstein kit from Headstrong.

 

what notch are they set at? and how much lift did you get out of it in the front?

 

Truck looks awesome!!!!! I wonder how it would look with the bronze and the sandstone

 

They are set on the fifth notch which is the most preload possible. I got 2 3/4" lift in front.

I got about 2 inches on my kit and reach about 23.25 in the front.
Did your add a leaf on the rear settle? Did it seem higher at first?

I haven't drove many miles after my add a leaf was added
I'm hoping it settles a bit.

 

Did you also install a differential drop? I have the Bilstein 6112 as well, went with the 3rd notch, loving it so far. I was thinking of doing the diff drop but getting conflicting opinions.
