I just think you'd be happier. I've owned both and love my XD so much more. My glock doesn't even have a holster and I don't Clean it. It's like my dirty slutty fat side girl.

i get what you're saying but preference is built after range time and sending freedom down range to greet paper and steel. since it's his first pistol it doesn't really matter too much what he's putting in his palm. gotta get trigger time in to get the fundamentals and basic mechanics down and then go from there with what tool works best for him as a shooter

FWIW i like my g19 gen 4 much better than the xd i shot. Glock has run flawlessly, xd failed to eject about once per mag for the hundred rounds i put through it.

The only logical answer is at least one of each type!

sure they're nice if you've got that kinda money to spend on sidearms lol

the new CZ P09 is half the price and still hammer/double action... higher round count too. i think one of those is my next pistol purchase

I do like the way the grip feels on the xdm better, but I like the way the glock 19 shoots. I just changed the back straps on the glock and it feels a ton better now.

That's awesome! Looks nice. Thanks man. I got the 19 because it's compact and it holds a decent amount of a rounds.

I almost went sig p320, but decided that spending $200 on the extra frame and slide wasn't worth it when I can buy a cc for an extra $150.

They're that kind of a money for a reason imo.

You can pick up a used Sig 228 for around 600. High capacity sub compact that runs.. Forever.

I will die with my 228. Lol

In my experience there is truth in both of these statements.

I started on a Glock 22 (full size .40) and after getting familiar with sending freedom down range
it, I began to try other manufactures.

When I tried (and bought) an XD .45, that was it for me. My eyes are now firmly set on either an XD Mod 2, or an XDS as my next handgun.

Still have & shoot my Glock though, they are still excellent guns! Even if they end up as the "slutty fat side girl"

I've noticed a slight knocking noise in the early mornings in my '13 4.0 when its cold. Is that normal? Do any you guys in the colder areas run a specific oil?

Idk. I think it's my grade of oil because it's the cheap dealership blend.
