I can't stand the mud. But when the only way out is thru a flooded wash and your 2WD its pedal to the metal to get out.

Just a warning for those of you that have build threads. My truck broke down on Monday I figured out it was the torque converter due to the engine code. Since I have a 2013 I know I have a 60k mile warrenty on the power train and the torque converter is covered under that.
However after 4 days of waiting for a toyota tech to come from corporate just to look at it and see a tacomaworld sticker on the truck. Apprently they saw the build thread where I have videos of me drag racing the truck. So they will not be covering the torque converter or any other warrenty. Just letting people know that might not think about this kind of thing happening. Also if you didn't know a torque converter is 928 dollars.

Dealer is a dick that was looking for an excuse not to honor the warranty. I had a Cobalt SS with an Eaton M-62 supercharger that put down around 300hp and they honored the entire car, even after I dragged raced it. Hell, they installed a racing clutch and when the throw out bearing went bad, they fixed it for free. It all matters on the dealer.

Vance, do you have a copy of the warranty agreement? If not, request a copy of it from the dealer and send it to me. I'll review it and see if I can't find a loophole or some form of coverage for you. You've got my cell, just text me as I don't check TW all the time.

Vance did you take it to Toyota of Escondido? I'm sure they won't even give you a hard time about it.

Welcome! I'm in Carlsbad too. Try discount tire direct. I don't know of any "good" or inside deals. But a lot of guys go here. Just shop around I guess.

Welcome, I work a lot in Carlsbad so you may see my truck around. If you call Evans Tire when they are doing the buy 2 get 2 they will give you about a $250 discount since that's the discount limit on the B2G2

    Just an update...

4WheelParts.com has 285/75/16 BFG AT K02 for $198/tire when you buy 4 you save an additional $70 and get free shipping. It was $721+ tax for K02s is awesome!

On a Side note, I know a really good lemon law lawyer when Toyota doesn't want to stand behind their trucks. He gets the job done.

Well thats not good...try a different dealer. Warranty jobs pay less than retail repair so sometimes the service dept can be a pain but I bet somebody is willing to do it.

Welcome, if you need auto work, welding or installs let me know. I'm in Vista BTW

But for tires I use a little place in Escondido was called SD Tire now I think its called North County Tire now and they always dial me in pretty good! Plus I try and support small business if I can if the price is right!
