    Both but I only started downhill when I won a pair of skis. I really do prefer Nordic. It's supposed to be more work but unless I'm really pushing it my heart-rate never gets quite as high as it does while careening down a frozen mountain desperately trying to avoid the trees that keep leaping into my path.
