I would hate to wheel without pushing the limits and getting a dent here and there. Sure scratches and dents in the armor are expected, and I don't purposely try to wreck my truck as I pay the bills, and use it as my DD. I guess time has taught me that if you really want to live life to the fullest, I few risks need to be taken, and dents and scratches are to be expected. Simply put, if I leave the pavement, expect carnage, and hope for the best. Happiness has often been leaving the trail with a steering wheel pointing in the right direction.

 

I ate him after I cracked him upside the head with my hatchet. Then gutted him, hung him from a tree to let the blood drain, made the cuts needed in his hide , tied a rope to one spot in his hide, and pulled it all off with the four wheeler, carefully cut up the meat and cooked some ovah an open fire while it was still warm!

 

My dad was a butcher/ meat cutter and I help clean , cut up and package all types of game and fish in my life.

Rausch Creek, I've been there before 4-wheeling! Rolled a 4-wheeler, it was good times.

I'm a noob to this whole truck/off road thing, hopefully my Limited Slip Differential can handle it.

2 things I recently learned though was 1. Don't let anyone borrow your truck, you should always drive them and 2. Wild dumpsters appear out of nowhere. Sadly, learned both on the same night. Waiting to get my truck back from the body shop, but at least I got a new Fab Fours rear bumper!

I think that day prompted me to get LCA skids.

 

The LCA skids are more for protecting the cam bolts and CV's than for rock abrasion. Those stock LCA's are a very stout piece. It's shit coming up from underneath and taking out a CV boot - they are very good for that. (at least the bamf ones)

 

Think I got Littles coming over to throw on his diff skid. I'll be wrenching & fabbing all day.

Whats SC? Or do you mean the state? I still need a lift before I go to RC again but its on my list of places to go.

 

Breaking shit sucks. It's definitely causing me to be more cautious with this truck... Armor and lift than wheeling. I'll camp still though once it warms up again ha-ha.
