I'm interested in front and rear bumpers, full under protection (skid plate) and rock rail sliders for my 2014 TRD OR.

Can you give me a range of what I should budget for all the armor combined?

Am I looking at $2,000 or pushing beyond $3,500?

depends on the options and the brand. You're gonna be around $2000 start for basic plate bumpers front and rear, sliders, and skids. UNPAINTED. Then add shipping. shop around, prices can vary quite a bit

    ^^ This ^^

I've got a little over $2000 in just the front bumper with lights and paint. That's not counting the $600 in shipping for bumper and sliders.

As the old saying goes. You get what you pay for. @Pelfreybilt is one of the best companies I've ever dealt with. Satin and Tyler know how to take care of their customers. I highly recommend them. There are other very good manufactures out there on this site so you have plenty options. Relentless fab is also very nice.

Thank you. I've built it for Colorado and running around the San Juans. I plan on keeping it until the wheels fall off. It's the only vehicle I've ever had a emotional attachment to.

Depends if you want steel or aluminum, but I'd say no less than 3,000

Lets see, I actually got my Brute Force Fab hybrid and high clearance rear for $1700 (not including shipping or paint). Then sliders were about a $500 installed and I have ATO IFS Skid that was less than $300.. So in parts alone I would say $2,500 with what I have.

Now shipping and paint are on top of all that.

Also you need to upgrade suspension with all the added weight and then you'll want tires and rims and then it never ends :bananadead:

I will probably have to change front springs to accommodate added weight too...running the Eibach 521600 spring right now on 5100s.

is it better to order all from one manufacturer so the black matches or buy from several and have someone local to me paint all so they match?

Thanks everyone for the responses btw...this really helps!!!!

"Most" items come bare. It is up to you to paint, rhino line, rattle can, etc...

they'll most likely be all scratched up if you order them painted.

I actually went the opposite direction on my front bumper. I considered powdercoating but was afraid that it wouldn't match my truck since I was going white. Powdercoat also scratches and is harder to touch up if it does. The paint that I have on my bumper matches the truck perfectly and I've got left over paint in case I get a scuff on my bumper and it will be much easier to touch up. I'm not into heavy duty rock crawling, just running the trails. The approach angle the bumper affords helps with that aspect.

Now my sliders I used a product called "Speedliner". When we used to paint we bought into the company and I still have plenty left over. The nice thing is I can spray the product out of a HVLP gun and control the texture and it is just as strong as rhino lining without the course texture.

Also sprayed my shovel with it.

I went with some BAMF Rock sliders. Now, I went bare metal and weld on, which is the cheapest option. Ran me 225$ on Black Friday. Now, that's a pretty good deal, but something you'd be able to find again I'm sure. So 225$ without shipping. Now, add in a kickout if that's your thing and added dimple plates if you have little ones whose feet could fall through the gaps and you're already 350ish. If you want bolt on...forget it you're out 500$. It's all about choosing your options wisely in this game if you are ballin on a budget. If you get every add on to every part, your list will easily exceed the highest estimations on here.

Bottom line is this: know exactly what you want on these parts. You can get lost in the add ons. Once you figure out how much it'll cost you, save up another $700 for all those add ons I told you not to buy...you're gonna buy them anyway...i always do

I would paint yourself. Shipping can cause paint damage. Also if you are using the armor for what it was made for, it is going to get beat up. If you paint it yourself you can touch it up at home. Also be careful about mixing manufacturers, some skids only bolt together with the matching unit. Especially ifs and transmission skids. I'm not 100% sure but some front bumpers may not work with different brand ifs skids.

So...I'm likely looking at $4,500 to 5,000 for complete armor then.

Did you poop yourself when you figured that out? Then you need a winch, some lighting, high lift jack, recovery straps, and all those goodies
