Mine is doing that as well. So it needs to go back to the dealer for a fix?

Yea I think it's a simple fix. But they use a special tool. Good luck

Anyone else having issues with water getting in? Looking at getting one but havent seen one at our dealer yet. A little cheaper than the Solid Fold since I get invoice pricing but I dont want it leaking when I go on vacation and have all the luggage in the back.

The Solid Fold keeps water out with no cutting. The better choice

Per my dealer inventory manager, no more long bed tonneau covers. I went ballistic when it was on my September and October confirmation sheets but missing on the November. Now she's built and getting ready to head to the port, and I have no tonneau.

There are apparently issues with quality and quantity for the supplier. This sucks, because it was $300 cheaper than the next best thing after market.

Hell, they should pull the short bed covers while they're at it.

They might have. None of the trucks on the lot (2 for sale, 6 sold before arrival) had tonneaus. All DCSBs.

I asked for it when I put an order in last month, got the paperwork with temp vin today and it's not listed. Wasn't a huge deal breaker it was just cheaper than the other trifold tonneaus

Mine is certainly not waterproof... have seen some water in there after it rains... not a ton, but enough.
I have checked the seams, all look ok, and my cleats are not hitting anything. But the manual does say , don't expect complete waterproof from elements. I will ask the dealer about the TSB.

I realize the age on this post, but I'm new. Shoot me. My '16s cover tried to fly away more or less on I-64 crossing Illinois last week. Had it folded open and locked. Terrible quartering headwinds had me in 4th gear to keep highway speeds. A good gust pulled the passenger side loose, then with its newfound leverage it pulled the drivers side and slammed the whole thing down on luggage breaking the hinge and latch area on the 2nd fold. It all still works ok, but the rubber on the hinge is gaping like the pics above and the whole thing has gaps around the bed rails.
I thought the cover felt shitty when I got it, but now I know I guess. Any similar problems or word on issues like this from Toyota?

They dropped the tonneau from the long beds when I bought, so I had to go with the Extang. I met two guys this weekend who both weren't fans of their factory covers.

Have you taken it in yet?

Not yet. I'm in the middle of a cross country move to Florida (in my new Taco). Once I'm no longer living like a homeless gypsy family it's going in. Also wondering if I should grease the skids with customer service first? There's got to be a better securing solution than two plastic clips.

I didn't see it mentioned here but make sure that each latch actually "clicks" a second time while you push down on the cover at the pin locations.

It will make the first click at each pin when you drop it down and unfold it on your bed.
Then, push down hard at each pin location until you hear the small secondary click sound.
After I did this, the cover was much tighter and only a couple drops of water get in even when it's pouring.

I am in the same boat as you are. It was park of the Premium package when I built the truck. When the order was placed they claim it could not be removed to lower the price. It arrived Friday with no cover. And no Deduction in price. It was discontinued sometime between December and now.
