I had a former roommate's friend's cousin once tell me that if you take things out of context it's easy to draw whatever conclusions you want , for example if a neighbour said to reporters "she seemed like a good mother , never had any problems with them " or the landlord said " they were ideal tenants , nice people "

Total speculation, but I would hope that child was taken by cps until the family is deemed stable.

By "stable", you mean the family who denies that the killers were Islamic terrorists? That family?

You really can't go speculating about something like that solely based on preconceived notions. You may not agree with me, and that's fine but I myself can't pass judgement without a significant amount of factual information.

If you have experience with CPS, you'd know they're far better off with grandparents than with CPS.

Unfortunately mass shootings are becoming the norm in this country. Hell we just had 7 killed and nine wounded here at a college in Roseburg Oregon. It barely got a ho- hum from the media. Almost like the daily mass shoot report. This shooting here is getting 24/7 coverage I assume because it has the word terrorism affixed to it. Should we be far more afraid of this one instead of the usual " he was an awkward loner, his mom said he was a good boy, was kicked out of the military, no friends, no girlfriends, spent a lot of time locked in his room" type of shit? It's all terrorism of a sort, domestic or outside when you can get knocked off any time anywhere by the Fkng nutjob of the week.

Yeah, is anyone else surprised by the focus on "islamic terrorism" by the American public...

It sounds like this lady had some pretty nasty thoughts going through her head long before she went on some chat room or facebook and swore her allegiance to ISIS/ISIL. Is she a Muslim? Yes. Was this an act of terrorism? Yes. Was this a carefully constructed ISIS plan to bring down America? Probably not, and no details have been released that would make someone think otherwise.

I would agree unless what the other guy said about the family denying that the couple were extremists was true. That seems like a dangerous environment to put a child into. I haven't heard anything about the family though.
I think it is getting coverage because it is another thing to worry about. People are worried about another 9/11 or Paris style attack and, if it is going to happen, ISIS is going to be the group to execute it. This attack makes all of the stupid threats ISIS has made about having sleeper cells in the US look a lot less stupid. It's just a scary thing to think about. Especially hitting a random spot like San Bernardino. Makes people feel less safe thinking it could happen anywhere, not just New York or LA.

I don't know why it's getting so much coverage?? Obviously, climate change is a much bigger problem...right??

    Really?
How many people have been murdered? Raped? Beheaded? Had their homes, businesses, and churches destroyed/burned? Been forced into slavery for sex? Stoned? Been forced from their communities into refugee camps?
    Because of climate change?

Is climate change keeping children from becoming educated? Is it keeping women from equal rights? Is it throwing homosexuals off rooftops of buildings?
