I bought the OEM wireless charging battery cover (here) for my Note 4... will see how it works in the truck. If it does not work I will send it back to Amazon and use the cable like the good ol' days.

Any one find a real fix for the s6. Mine cut's in and out randomly and never really charges.

I had the same issue until I turned on dream mode. There are a few handy dream mode apps in the PlayStation store too.

So far so good with using dream mode. The trick seems to be not letting you phone lock. I only had a 15 minute drive this morning so I will report back after my 3 hour drive tomorrow. I downloaded a dream mode app that puts a battery charging icon on the screen while in dream mode so I can actually see if it is charging or not.

I have a Note 5, and have experienced the on/off cycling described in this thread.

I turned on 'Daydream', and the phone stayed on charge, without cycling on and off. But it seems that keeping the screen entirely illuminated is such a draw, that I would gain only 1-2% increase in battery charge every 10-15 minutes or so. Much slower rate than when Daydream is disabled.

So, I turned Daydream off, and fiddled with phone positioning, as suggested here. Like others, my phone seems to charge best (not cycling on and off) when it is positioned as far as possible toward the rear of the truck, and the phone charging end is as far as possible toward the driver. If I'm careful to do this, it appears to stay on charge, without cycling.

    Just relating my experiences......................... Frank

My Samsung Note 4 charges quite well sans the protective cover, just as Frank described above it helps if the phone is placed (for reference) closer to the rear of the truck and with charging end facing the driver. The phone charged fairly quick, while I was streaming music and it did warm up a bit but nothing alarming or that I think would cause problems. Just a pain to take the protective case off of the phone and I drop mine far too often to go without the case. As of now it will only be used on longer road trips (30 minutes or more in duration), whereas if I'm hopping in and out of the truck to run errands around town the phone will stay in my pocket or on the charger without charging.

With Daydream there are some nice apps that allow you to use a "Night Mode" where it is much darker ... mine only seems to stay charging with daydream on..

I ended up returning my Note 5 for an S6....S6 worked like a charm but I did not like the small screen so I sold it and bought the LG V10 What a great phone.

Removable battery, SD card capable. I bought a charging back cover for it and it works well at home and using Qi in the truck

My note 4 would not work with the case on it at all, no matter what spot I placed it on. The only way it would work is if I removed the case. I ended up upgrading to the Note 5 anyway because as luck would have it, the screen on my Note 4 died and I was due for my next "free" upgrade. Note 5 works perfectly on the Qi charger, even with a case on the phone.

I have an S6 Edge plus and it does not work at all....very disappointed. The salesman told me to not expect it to work and to just use the USB cable method.

I bought a spigen case on Amazon for my Iphone 6+ and keeps cutting in and out. I place it closest to me on the pad over to the right facing the passenger door. Is that what you do?
