I'm up around 100 now. Once I got the perk that gives you extra stimpacks I started to have no trouble finding them. I didn't gain them anywhere near as quick as I did in Fallout 3

Even with very high charisma stimpacks, and anything else, is ridiculously expensive from vendors that aren't yours. If you setup a shop prices are cheaper but if the shop is not the biggest one there is such limited ammo quantities that it's barely worth it.

Everyone of my settlements have a bar though. It keeps the sheeple happy and gives me more caps than the other shops from what I can tell. Double score.

BTW, whoever keeps building normal gun turrets just stop. A half dozen gun turrets doesn't even come close to matching a couple of heavy laser turrets protecting missile turrets!

I basically plan out farms and irrigation for a living. It drove me nuts trying to find the different seeds in Fallout 4 to the point where, if you don't like mutfruit, you shouldn't live in one of my settlements :D.

I have used like maybe 20 stimpaks in the entire game. Only time I need them are when I miss an enemy sniping and think I have already cleared an area. I've even sniped deathclaws lately. Trying to get to the point where I am sneaky enough to snipe behemoths.

Like I said earlier, this is the Fallout from Bethesda with the most "gray area" type morals ever. I am very disappointed though that they don't have a morality system in the game to make it even more complex.

IMHO the BOS really returned to their roots in this game. Sure, they'll help you, but you got to walk like they do and talk like they do. TBH they are the middle age catholic church to a T. The Institute is worse IMHO though...

See, I did a lot of run and gun in my first play through. Maybe it's too much COD when I was younger but sneaking only does so much for me. Especially since, for me, it seems like I get one guy only to alert everyone else what's going on which ruins my sneak. Anyways, the point is while I might of only used 50ish stimpacks in my playthrough, I've probably only found 150 which makes them more scarce than I remember in previous games. In previous games I'd just buy them as I needed more but with this game it's not really possible to do that.

Unless you setup every settlement with massive water resources. Then you can buy anything.

I've got a Plasma Rifle that does double damage on full health enemies that now does over 250 damage (half electrical, half physical) before the multiplier that I can drop almost every enemy with in one shot. Deathclaws take 3 shots. Even a Mirlurk getting hit in the shell takes 2 hits. It's the best weapon in the game when done up right IMHO.

Do you have your perks for sneak up? I'm nearly undetectable. Gotten to the point where I can pickpocket fusion cores out of power armor.

Oh to anybody who didn't know you can do that, you can pickpocket the fusion core out which will force the wearer to exit the power armor, you can then get in it and destroy them.

Just a way to get more frames since you can't take it from dead enemies. Also you can shoot them in the fusion core and they will detonate in a mini nuke style explosion. Seems to me like a little bit of a weak point that the US military didn't think of when designing it.

No, I didn't spec myself out for sneak. Maybe next play through. In Elder Scrolls I did have a really sick sneak/pick pocket character.

Just building on the whole morality thing I want to clarify a bit. I think the general story line of the game is good. Not great, but good. However, they should of followed through with it and implemented a morality system. Plus they should of made it really murky. Like have it so that when the BOS wins they start rounding up people into camps to check for synths only to find out they are killing everyone who doesn't pass a bullshit test. Maybe you have to use the minute men to defeat them and keep your good karma. Basically, I think they should of had several interweaving quests that drew you out to one faction and one faction alone. Then at the end you learn if you really did the right thing or if you've created Nazi Germany all over again. Then it'd be even better if you can go fix it...

If they wanted to make it gray, they should of taken it to a whole separate level of fucked up where you make several choices, not just one main one, and shit gets crazy if you make ones that aren't good.

Institute play through over, that was painful.... Never have I wanted to shoot more people in the face in a fallout game. Looking forward to the railroad now. Sadly have to start from scratch again for that.

I had a Legendary Deathclaw surprise me in a section of buildings so I was taking shots at him and then when he would come at me I would duck through the doorway into the building and he couldn't follow , did that a couple times and all of a sudden the deathclaw lunges at me and it kinda blends through the window and into the building , so I ran outside and he couldn't get out lol

It was like a deathclaw in a little dog carrier so I just plinked away at him through a window till I killed him

Fallout DLC supposedly coming in the spring , people are suggesting there might be a big underwater segment to it

If it's like previous games there's a gate at the edge of the map up north by the zimonja outpost, probably another dlc location.

If there's any other completionists that play does it bother you when you return to previously cleared areas to find containers/safes and terminals locked again?

I find it weird that places that have been cleared on the map end up teaming with Raiders/ghouls/cannonfodder again. Then again, I'm not a completionist so I'm okay with it and IRL places cleaned up from crime often attract new criminals.
