So I'm replacing my front wheel bearings and my service manual says to remove the 8mm bolt that goes into the cv axle. Mine does not have one. Only the snap ring. I am the 2nd owner of this truck and I know for a fact the cv's and/or bearings have never been replaced. So has anyone else also NOT had that bolt in the end? Is this correct?

Just replaced mine about 2 months ago after the hub imploded and i had been driving with it locked for a month and finally blew due to my angles. I also saw that bolt missing. Cant really see why its there anyway. 2months and no problems yet. Should have done my rotors while it was apart :)

I don't think the manual hub models have a nut or bolt there. The ADD trucks do have a large nut
