Vinyl Inserts for the Tailgate

I ordered these off of eBay (from the legit seller! ) and installed them today. The install was easy and I think it looks good. After I got them installed, I took a picture, looked at the truck and decided to remove the V6 emblem. Looks better without it IMO.

 

Looks nice without the badge. I'm still hemming and hawing over debadging.

 

I hear ya. I'm going to switch the front side badges to black "TACOMA" badges. However the whole V6/V8 thing is so early 2000's.

I debadged today. I think it looks a lot better without the tacoma and v6. I should have my inserts in a few days. I couldn't resist after seeing the pics you guys have posted

 

Product Suggestion:

Next version - reflective!

 

Suggestion noted. The challenge is finding quality vinyl with at least a 5 year durability rating and preferably 7+ years. I have not seen any reflective vinyl in the Oracal series.

 

I installed Matte Black on my Inferno, Looks great,

 

My whites are ordered, and should arrive the day I pick up the truck. They are third thing to get installed - right after the tonneau cover but before the steps.

please watch out everybody. He took my picture off of this website and didn't even black out my plates (yes i know i should have before i posted) Didn't even ask my for my permission. Do not buy from this guy.

 

His EBay store is DashKit Mall. When I called him out on it he was a complete jerk and said that he is free to use anything he finds on the internet. The irony is that his listing states he does not use "thin cheap looking film decals" yet he uses images of our thin decals in his listing!!

If you are at all concerned about this, please watermark your images before posting.

 

Perhaps a copyright infringement notice from one of the people who took an image he is using? That could change his tune.

 

He seems to think that if there is no watermark, and therefore no copywright he is free to use anything he wants. After I proved to him that he was using one of my images he said he would take it down, but it is still there 24 hours later, but with a different blotted out license plate.

I don't understand why he simply can't use images of his own product.

 

Because his clearly sucks. Duh...

 

Well, he currently has a 99.4% positive rating. Perhaps it's time for the people who's images are being used to report him to eBay.

 

During our "conversations" he mention how good his products must be since he had one sale on the first day! Um, OK, good for you. I had 30 the first day and 10 during the time I fought him to take down my image!

His logic is that if someone accuses him of stealing images, the accuser must have also stolen them, or they must prove otherwise. Kindergarten logic of you ask me.

 

Never really understood the fear with posting license plates online. I can drive down the street or walk through a parking lot and take pictures of as many license plates as I'd like. What is it that drives the paranoia of someone having your license plate #?

 

What do you all think would look nicer, black or chrome on a red limited that has the 4x4 and v6 chrome emblems on the tailgate?

The black would complement the black part of the bumper but I wonder about chrome to match the emblems.

I've seen pics of red trucks with the black but not one with chrome, has anyone used chrome on a red truck?

Either one! Black matches the trim and chrome matches the emblems. Home run either way.
