    How much is it to get certified? I feel like it would be cheaper here on the mainland to get certified instead of when I get to Hawaii

    There tons of dive shops in AZ. I don't know what they are changing these days. I got certified 20 years ago.

    I miss diving in Hawaii. You should look up and call a few shops over there. See what they charge and if there is a military discount. Everything over there has two prices, tourists' and local. Might be cheaper as you don't have to pay to drive to the dive locations.

    This, there are quite a few places in Phoenix. When you get to Hawaii you can get your night dive certification also.
