Man, I would really enjoy this outing, but I have a SAF gig Saturday. I have a brand-new set of BFG AT KO2's on, too.

 

The CB in my rig is dead. I have a replacement on hand, but haven't had time to install. Might be able to get it in before Saturday. I'm okay with 2ways also, and have a few that I could bring.

Nice. Glad to see a good group forming.

Too bad you can't make it. You'll have to get those KO2's dirty on the next one.

For those going....

Is anyone bringing kids or pets? I'm considering both. I think my 3 yo would have a good time as long as she's bundled up.

 

I'm leaving my 3 y.o. at home, but I might bring my dog.

While we still had sunlight we jumped over to La Bajada, making the climb in time for sunset.

All in all it was a fun trip. None of us had been up there before so we wandered around quite a bit. Nothing spectacularly technical with most people running in 2WD most of the day. Half the time I had my nose in a map attempting to track where we were and where we were going, the other half I was hanging out a window snapping pictures and the other half I was enjoying the scenery and the ride. There were a few places we didn't get to that I want to get back to and explore.

On a side note, I think I'm going to have to ditch the tradition of wearing shorts on these trips, especially the ones in and around winter.

 

As someone who has been bitten by a rattlesnake while wearing shorts when off trail I'd suggest pants.
