Hey Nathan! I got my mirrors in today! Great product man. I just have a question: Packaged with the mirrors, I also received some white stickers shaped like the mirrors. What are these for? I installed just like your video shows (one adhesive pad per mirror) and now I have the "stickers" and an extra set of adhesive pads. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something. The mirrors fit really well and i tried to see if there was slack or anything that would cause them to fall out while driving (there wasn't). So do I just have "extra parts"? Thanks again for the great product man, I just sat in my driveway to adjust them but couldn't help staring for a minute.. I'll be taking my first test drive tomorrow.

The stickers are actually anti shatter films and the extra adhesive pads were included to aid holding the glass in.

You're good to go as is. The anti shatter films were delivered to me after I made the video, hence the confusion. I don't have them on my mirrors either.

Let me know your impressions after you take a drive tomorrow

So ideally, the anti shatter films should be installed on the rear of the mirror between the adhesive pad and mirror? I may a actually remove the mirror to install the second adhesive pad so I could throw them in at the same time...

I imagine the anti shatter won't actually provide any more protection from a mirror breaking right, just stop it from falling into pieces everywhere if it does.

Correct. They're just trying to keep the glass from hitting the ground in a million pieces.

So after a quick 20 min drive to my parent's house, I'm convinced that I should have got these a long time ago. By the time I reached my destination, my eyes had adjusted to the mirrors and I was able to change lanes without second guessing my blind spots. Reversing is still going to take some getting used to as I thought I was backing up straight, but was still crooked in the driveway. :anonymous: My passenger side mirror appears to have some irregular warping but I think it may be because it isn't sitting exactly straight in the backing plate. There is a slight adjustment I could make by rotating the mirror in the backing plate and that should correct it. I'll try to get that fixed later today. Overall, I'm super happy with these. Thanks again @SMKYTXN !

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the new mirrors. Backing up does take a little getting used too doesn't it?

As far as the passenger mirror having issues, if there is a flaw in the mirror let me know and I'll send you a replacement.

Hey Nathan do you think these would be benificial for when towing a camper? Whenever I take the family out camping the stock mirrors don't let me see much behind myself. Not sure if these would be benificial or if you need mirrors that are spaced further out to really be able to see when towing.

Well, this is a cheaper option to try than buying dedicated tow mirrors. :D

You do have a wider field of view due to the outside profile of the mirror, so I'm guessing they'll be an upgrade from the stockers.

Lining up the parking spot lines at an angle is the key.

Good to know! I foresee joining team EZView in my future

Sounds good on the kit, just keeping a few of you guys updated as things progress. I know the loot allotment plan all too well lol. My wallet is not nearly thick enough for all the cool products on this site.

Are you getting some armour done up?

    Backing up

I posted earlier in this thread - I have similar mirrors made by a now defunct company. It can take longer to get used to backing up. The distorted view and the tendency to interpret how close something is based on perceived size initially works against you. As you become accustomed to it though you'll begin to hold the backing up view in the same regard as when moving forward.

My wife has had 2 Lexus. A ES350 and now a FC350. Both have elaborate backup camera views with guide lines and proximity sensors. I can park my truck faster and more accurately than either of them. I actually now prefer to park back in. With the mirrors and the backup camera I'm always dead on.

My set came in shattered today... It's a bummer since I was looking forward to installing them immediately for the trip up to the mountains tomorrow. Sent an email on the website to see what to do now.

yeah unfortunately I've had a few parcels recently show up in less than stellar condition.

Postal Christmas rush will have them handling with less care.

Totally not your fault, but I do appreciate it. If anyone knows how the holiday shipping rush affects the care of packages, it should be me because I worked for UPS through four holiday seasons.
