Yes, I have the stiff spring because I don't like it flopping around.

can't beat a good old 8' steel whip always good range and since its made of steel you don't have to worry about it hitting stuff and breaking

I'm not going to argue with you about the performance benefits of an 8 foot antenna... but it makes it difficult getting under my 7 foot garage door.

I was going to replace the boots. Keeping the Toyota CV's would be better in the long run as a lot of members on TW say so.

iPhone 6s have amazing cameras for what they are. Especially when you compare them to 5's.

$50 to the door sound good? Full disclosure, I payed $65 and some shipping to the door from rock auto. I opened one of them but couldn't split my axle apart so I put it right back in the box.

Exactly. Our phone cameras are just as good as most $400-500 cameras beside the zoom.

Does it have a lifetime warranty? I found a lifetime warranty boot from O'Reilly's besides the grease for $20 for the inner or outer

I think it is about 3 inches or so. It is one of those generic chrome steel springs.

For those of you with a 3" lift and uniball UCA's, what angle is your UCA's at (picture of uniball's)? I have messed with mine so much I can't remember what 3" is and I feel like the angle of the UCA is a good reference.

i'm curious how you know if his is well grounded or not you can't even see the base of it... not trying to spark any kinda argument but if all his mounting hardware is steel on steel from the base of the antenna to the bumper and then frame then he should have a good ground... biggest issue is all of the stuff directly around the antenna that is interfering with the antenna's output... hood mounted is an awesome place to mount an antenna not much around the antenna and gets it up in the air so it can reach out there
