I've narrowed down that a creaking noise is coming from the front end. It occurs when turning into the driveway and then backing out and in similar situations where one side of the truck is a little higher than the other. It seems like it's on the passenger side but I could be wrong. It does not do it if I push on the top of the wheel well area on the hood forcing a up and down movement. I don't believe it's a suspension creak but more of a flexing creak.

Any ideas or pictures of which bolts may need a little love would be great.

Could be your upper control arm bushings. Any flexing creak will most likely be suspension

Do this test. With the truck parked and off, grab the truck above the door with the door open and rock the truck as hard as you can. Does it make the creaking noise?

Now, pop open the hood and rock the truck again. If the noise stops it's the rubber hood stops creaking against the hood.

I discovered those were making the exact same noise last week. I threaded them into the hood so they were not contacting the truck at all with the hood closed. Today on the way to work I'll play with those a little more to see if it still could possibly be the culprit.

Could be the aluminum cross brace under your front bumper - those are known to creak. Mine has been creaking for years, it's quite embarrassing going over the speed bumps in the parking garage.

It's not coming from the hood and it doesn't do it when I go over speed bumps. It doesn't do it if I rock the truck either.

My creak came back today, happens flexing in and out of driveways, etc.

First time I took it to toyota they said the front body mounts were loose.

Its going back to see again to see what the problem is.

I took another look at the bumper stops and confirmed it was coming from them I think. I put friction tape on the 2 side stops, and on the 4 front stops and I haven't heard the noise again. Let me know if you need some pics of the spots and I'll get them tomorrow.

I'm trying to track down a similar noise on my rig. Let me know if you can help narrow this down.

Tried shaking the truck violently and didn't get anything. I'm quite positive it's body mounts again.

My LCA bushings are seizing and creak when I flex. It's a common problem that is often misdiagnosed. Toyota doesn't grease them from the factory... Thanks Toyota.

There's a thread here somewhere with all of the parts needed to replace them. I put in an order recently, so I'll try to find the thread. The parts come to $135 US with free shipping from a dealer - some parts are currently on back order. My dealer Quoted me about $400 for the same parts.

I had a similar creak in the front end. It only happened when turning right. It turned out to be the heat or dust shield by the rotor. It's flimsy metal and I just bent it back.

That one has a tinny sound - you can tell it's coming from thin metal. Good spot to check though before doing the (pain in the ass) bushing swap and grease.

The bushing sound is lower in pitch and kinda sounds like shit is gonna break.

Here's what fixed my front end squeaks. It was the last thing I checked but the simplest to fix. I used 6 pieces of friction tape cut 1.5".
