I'm talking about pics of the paperwork. I don't believe you paid 6000 under MSRP for this truck.

His deal was better than mine.. here's what I paid this past weekend in South Florida. There are deals out there if your willing to spend the time to find them; took me over a month of online shopping and negotiating. In the end I could not buy one in my city for less than 1000 off MSRP so I bought from a dealer 80miles north.

2016 Inferno TRD Sport 4x2 DCSB (officially 8miles, final 23 miles)
    Premium Tech (non-JBL)
    Carpet Mats
    Tow Package
    Stainless Steel Rails
    Roof Rack
    Paint Protection Body Sealant
    Paint Protection Body Film
    Paint Protection Door Edge Film
    ToyoGuard Select

    MSRP/Sticker Price $38,748
    Selling Price $33,260 + tax/tag (OTD Selling Price $34727.60)

That's not a bad deal, but this guy is cleaming 4000 dollars less than that and that does not happen.

I just placed an order for the TRD OR 4x4 DCSB w/ tow package. Quoted $34,750 pre-tax. Not sure if this is a good deal or not. what do you all think?

@Z50king, thanks just checked the thread it shows the TRD OR 4x4 DCSB at $33730, Delivery Fee $900, and tow package $650. That comes out to a grand total of $35,300. So looks like i got a little over $550 off MSRP. Unless I missed something.

Same thing, I always use price over Invoice Rather than MSRP down..I negotiate Invoice up. That way I know how much their gross is on my deal.....$2000 is way too much. But if Californians are paying that, there is no reason to sell for less.

That's what every dealer around where will say. You can get closer to invoice if you want to wait 3-6 months to get what you want

I tried every dealership within 100 miles. Everyone basically told me to kick rocks as soon as I tried to negotiate. Even when I find what I'm looking for, it's bought within a few days.

If it were me....I would wait. Time flies.....everyday these trucks lose value...new or used.

agree... I was really close yesterday on buying the 16' DCSB TRD OR 6MT, and I wanted $8500 for my trade, and $1000 off msrp for the truck, and apparently the guy in the next room over was working out a deal on the same truck, and they sold it like that for full asking price... that's how it is here in San Diego area... stupid, but I won't be the fool to pay the msrp price.

Well I guess I could try to get my $500 deposit back. I just didn't think they would ever budge on price. I started looking at tacomas over a year ago and had a hard time getting dealers to budge on the 2nd gen models. I walked away so many times that I never ended up buying one. I just really want a taco :frusty:
