TW's active 4runner builders BS thread

went out to start the 4runner this morning to move it. Turned the key on it.. nothing. silence. not even a click. Turned key again.. nothing. silence. The third try, she fired right up.

Had me thinking.

I removed the battery over the weekend. Maybe I didnt tighten the battery clamps down well enough? hmm..

Also noticed one of the headlights went out.

It's stuff like this that make you think like crazy on what it could be.. especially after you did a few mods over the weekend. Hopefully it's just the battery clamps that are loose/dirty.

I probably wont be able to get to it until Friday or Saturday. This is going to eat me alive until then.

 

I think my radiator fans have gone bad on my Camry. Runs fine with the A/C on(which automatically turns the fans on) but runs super hot when the A/C is off. Everything with the cooling system has been replaced in the last 2 years except for the fans. Not gonna really mess with it till summer since I don't drive it much.

I miss driving a manual

 

Besides that it runs like a champ w/ 170K miles and gets over 30mpg. Just sucks up here in the mountains with the 4 banger. I work a little bit later today, but have a 3 day coming up. Going to stretch the legs of the 4Runner and take it all over CO.

I am really debating getting a manual Subbie for the AWD or a manual 4banger single cab Taco. Really miss having a manual.

Same here, I have had only a few automatics. All my other cars were manuals and I definitely miss it.

 

Not me...all my hot rods were manuals, as were my farm trucks. Now it's all automatics for me!

 

This is the same with my Chevy 2500HD diesel. It's an 06' and I have a ton of money in...owned it since 07'! I love the truck and thought I'd never get rid of it...but now I drive my 4Runner all the time. Heck this year I think I put 1,800 miles on the truck. The wife's after me to sale it...but I know as soon as I do...I'll be wanting another one.

I will gladly take a 2500HD donation...I promise to let you drive it whenever you feel the need to have a diesel.

 

If I keep her...I'm planning on painting her a deep maroon color that just came out on camaro's. And then black her out! That would give the feeling of a brand new truck!! I have no idea...I go back and forth??

 

It's a beautiful truck and I love the Duramax motors, I would keep it!
