Not at all. The most time consuming part was taping off. Once that was done, I applied a coat every 20 minutes until I had 6 coats then allowed about an hour before I removed the tape. What you see is the finished product. Removal was a breeze, and the small amount of overspray came right off with a cloth dampened with WD40. All in all did this in about 2 hours following this video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGBOteFrPfo

I had a couple issues that should be really easy to correct. But overall it's painfully simple and the finished product looks great.

I think red backlighting would look bad ass I just see it clashing with the yellow turn signals. Either way the Toyota is getting painted red :) do this on Saturday unless I get time this week.
Blacking out the headlights and tail lights I've thought about. But haven't found any film I've liked yet. Any recommendations?

I am terrified of taking my lights apart. Worried about glueing them back together too. I might look into buying a set of housings to do it on that then transfer the bulbs incase I fuck it up

I actually bought a set of black-housing DEPOs, but haven't put them in yet.
Waiting for my Satoshi to be done so I can put them all in at the same time.

Ah that is a way better location than mine. Did you drill right through and secure with a nut underneath, or did you just screw into the metal?

Mine is in my wheel well right now, but I am concerned it will get clogged with snow all winter haha

Plastic-dipped my stock sport rims gray... I guess black might look better, but I had the gray lying around - I much prefer it to the corroded stock shiny paint

    Just a few LEDs...
I bought a pair of stock headlights from a guy on here so I could take my time and not have to worry about screwing up the only set of headlights I have. I just recently took my headlights apart again to do the "Red Eyes". The hardest part of doing the BHLM is working up the courage to put them in the oven the first time. Just follow the instructions in the threads that show how to do this and you'll be fine.

If you want black taillights then Black DEPO taillights are the way to go. They only cost about $140.00 for a pair. The fit perfectly and look great.
