I'm a home-based FFL. Until this past week, my suppliers have had a GLUT of AR's for sale. Prices have been stupid-low as they try to clear out the inventory. As of tonight, most of my suppliers have under 100 AR's TOTAL. That's all brands and calibers combined, including 308 ARs. Ammo prices are starting to rise again, and supply is getting very tight.

Combine the usual anti-gun rhetoric (Obama was calling for a ban before a single detail of the firearms used was known) and the fear from an obvious terrorist attack (with more to come), it's no wonder people are again stocking up.......

Do you have any recommendations in the Mt. Baker area for an unmodified 4x4 to go at this time of year?

When we went up the roads were super iced over. They should have good powder after last week. But the 1131 was a good road. Like northwesttaco said off baker lake road there a quite a few FS roads to go play on. Careful of the ice and cliffs though. But the low ground probably has snow now so wouldn't worry too much!

On my first trip with the 285s, can't say I love them much. They have killed my power and MPGs. Debating about going to 265s

There is some short course racing in Bend. I'll make you a smokin' deal on my race truck if you're interested. http://centraloregonracepark.com/

The only hill climb stuff I know about is for motorcycles... http://www.nwnitronationals.com/

There used to be several desert races around Millican, but the tree huggers shut them down. There has been several people trying to get another one going for years, but I don't know what the update is.

Edit: Update on the "Rage in the Sage". http://www.race-dezert.com/forum/th...ociations-codra-2012-rage-in-the-sage.104601/

Your priorities are backwards. I lived in an RV park...but I had a race truck and two race bikes! Now, I own a home and never have time to do any of that. My drinking team has a racing problem.
