NEW TRUCK?????? What did you get? I have had my eye on some of these trails. http://www.blm.gov/pgdata/etc/medialib//blm/ca/images/redding.Par.124c7807.Image.1296.1728.jpg
I was thinking about 2, but I think it is a pretty intense trail from what I heard, Ya I know, black diamond :D. Right now we could hit up anything out there. The only bummer is if you want to go across the dam you have to have a pass/permit like 72 hours in advance, I can take us in the back way, but on some press release I just read it might be closed.

How many miles on it? My buddy is trying to sell a 99 damn near exact to that except different size tires. Sounds like you got a killer truck. Congrats, i'll throw you a :woot: lol. Ya I dont have a whole lot of recovery equipment, but we can make due. Right now I dont want to push the truck too hard, cuz im running a spacer lift, but in december i'll be down for anything,.

I think around 6500. I dont know if it has anything done to the engine now that I think about it. I looked at it the other day, looks really good. I was actually thinking about buying it and converting it to a trail rig, but would rather spend the money on my truck.

Just looking at the map I realized I was on trail 4 before one night and we couldnt get over one of the water bars, but that was in April so I might have to go out there and see if its still like that.

The exhaust sucks, go with flowmaster. In order to actually hear or feel the exhaust you really have to step on it. It kind of gies it a weird sound too. I got my lift and tires from Big O. For the most part they have been good to me, they put 265's on the rear when I had 285's on the front last time I was there. I think they charged me for it which I think was B.S., he never said anything about charging me. But stay away from the spacer lift, that is the only thing they sell in this town.

I dont think the Dam is closed, you just need a pass to get across which you have to get some pass 72 hours in advance, which is complete B.S. to me. I think the French gulch side is shut down from something I read. I went up from the Iron Mtn Rd side back in March and made it a little ways but couldnt get over one of the water bars, so I dont think a stock truck will do too great. I am probably going to try to get out there in the next few days to see what its still like.

Im only about 2 1/2 hrs away from redding just over the Oregon border. I'm down for wheelin! :) I've got all the recovery equipment we should need, should we need any- hi-lift, 9000lb winch(on a receiver so it can be used on different trucks even), 2 tow straps, etc.
