I installed my 5100's with OME 885 set @ 0 on my 2009 DCSB and it gave me close to 2.5 inches of lift. Bottom of my fender to the ground is now 37", stock it was 34.625."

    My question:

-How much setting should I expect?
    -How long will it take?

    Other observations:

Install took about 3 hrs, and I definitely needed a second set of hands helping to push down on the LCA with a cheater bar so I can have clearance to fit the 5100's with the 885's. I didn't remove the tie rod, but I was able to wiggle the coilover into it position, got a couple scratches on the spring but I don't mind those.

Electric 1/2 inch impact helped a lot for lug nuts and the bottom shock bolt. Plus having deep well impact sockets. Crows feet on the torque wrench helped immensely in torquing down the top shock bolts.

I purchased this spring compressor last friday to swap coils on my 5100's for about $90

I felt 100% comfortable using this spring compressor. No doubt in my mind for my safety. Very easily compressed the 885 coil to mount in on the strut.

I removed my sway bar, and the truck feels like it rides stiffer than when it had it on.

I am taking it to an alignment shop tomorrow morning, hopefully, I can get close to desired without having to get aftermarket UCA's.

Not really. 1/4 inch maybe. 885s are 2.5" coils.

shoulda just undone the lower ball joint from the spindle, marked then loosened the lower control arm bolts and dropped the spring n shock right out.

No need for a spring compressor n MUCH easier. I can have a full shock n spring out and re-assembled in maybe 20 min per side.

Does that mean that 884's are 2"? And what's the difference between the 884 and the 884x?

1.75-2". There is an OME spec sheet link that floats around and has everything you could ask for. Try The Google for that.

X denotes a revised coil that is less prone to sag.

884s haven't been manufactured in a while. All new coils will be X models.
