Don't come on here that often since I bought an old FJ40. Maybe I'll look into those meets.

Hey guys, I'm having problems with axle angles after installing a set of King 2.5. Already had to replace one axle do to the boot tearing and gravel getting inside. I have it set for a 3" lift. Would lowering it to 2.5" make enough of a difference?

Get high angle boots or just deal with it. Nature of the beast.
FYI, boot kits are about $40. Hell of a lot less than a $400 cv axle.

PITA but I'm not a fan of the boot slide mod with MT or LT. Boots are already tapped out.

I was hoping that just dropping my lift would help it out some but I'll probably go with the high angle boots.

It will help. It's completely up to you and your preferences on aesthetics, form, and function. I set my ride height based on where the location of the uniball to get the bump/droop travel I wanted. There are sacrifices and advantages both directions depending on what you want to do with your truck and how you use it.
