    I have to say, from my experience, Grimjeeper was close. But not quiet.

    It was right in a sense that when my speedo said 70mph it had predicted the right rpms give or take 200 probably, but my actual speed was not right on my speedo..

    So idk how actuate it really is. But it is helpful.

    about 500rpm lower then a manual. Usually.

    And since autos suck more power away then manuals, its usually better to over gear even more.


    That said, my dad is pretty damn happy with 4.56s and 34s. Granted, he is boosted like crazy too but still. I think he would recommend them again and do it again if he had too.

    I say go 4.56. Going 80mph is overrated on the hwy anyways haha just do 70 everywhere.

    Yea its a tough call

    What Monte said about the auto. I'd vote 4.56 for you.

    It made me confident to see it match what I have now. But I'm sure it will be a bit different in reality. Not enough to really matter I think

    I kno, apple to oranges in so many ways, but... Since I regeared to 4.88s my truck gets its best MPGs, has its best throttle response and is more fun to drive at RPMs that are considered high.

    I like my 4.56s, but then again my truck is an auto. Don't think you can go wrong with 4.56s. You would regret 4.10s or 4.88s, 4.56 is a good middle ground gear.

    That sucked, ha. Plus so much wind that the truck is constantly on throttle to maintain speed.

    I agree with everyone saying 4.56, 4.10s just isnt much of a gain.

    With 4.56's on 35's I'm at around 2500 rpm's doing 60 mph. (6speed)

    edit: a hair under 2500.

    Is that gps 60mph or spedometer 60mph? You should be at 2260 ish with that setup if you're going a gps speed of 60. And 2600 if you're going 70.

    Nice build by the way @deeezy :cool: Did you take two inches out of your fenders? Running any spacers?

    Damn, if i just went to a 35 the 4.56 would be perfect. :annoyed: this decision sucks. First world problems...

    Yep, that's been a last resort option. That size works great on @woodnick rig. I'm trying to avoid needing new wheels...

    In the long run probably. After 30k miles on the 295 i'll probably kick myself...

    The way I see it is you'll end up at 35s anyways. So really you can get the 295s now and do a little trimming. Then get 35s next and do some more little trimming.
