Looks good man... and Im sorry! Sorry that you got yourself into this situation. It always starts with a "my first mod for $" and turns into "built a custom blah blah blah for $$$". Oh well, I love modding and hope you do too.

    Keep it up.

What kind of paint did you use? How many coats did it take? What kind of prep work did you do? I was thinking about doing the same to my stock taco rims.

i got flat black wheel paint from autozone. cleaned the wheels very well, scuffed the surface to a dull finish with high grit paper, re-cleaned and dried. two coates of gray auto primer and followed with two coates of the paint. one can of primer was plenty with leftover and i used just over one can of paint. I suggest switching to new can as soon as the first feels low. this is b/c when it gets low the pressure changes and therefore you start getting irregular spray, you know heavy/light/heavy/light. makes it difficult to get even coverage. oh and make the first coat of paint not solid, you need to be able to see a little metal through it. and be sure EACH COAT dries completely before you re-apply. whole thing should take about 3-4 hours.

    4x4 OFF-ROAD... that is all I need...
I saw a 1st gen with the 2nd Gen 16" off-road wheels today. I think they look better on the 1st gens than the 2nd gens. I would post a pic, but the light turned green before I had a chance to take a quick camera phone pic.
