What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

That Adventure Medical kit has been great. I've had it for at least 15 years and I just refresh items as they get used or get old. The current version is expensive, but it's one of the few kits I've seen that is well thought out and contains things you really need.

I'm not worried about road noise through the metal rear bulkhead, I'm worried about noise through the cab vent (as discussed/lamented elsewhere in the 3rd gen forum). I don't expect it to be a problem, but I haven't driven far since taking out the plastic trim so I don't know.

If you don't have the JBL system and its included subwoofer, then there is a ton of space behind the passenger side. I have not pulled mine off, but it doesn't look like there's a lot to gain if you have the sub (though there clearly would be some gain in space). I suspect that the speaker would be unprotected since the grill is integrated into the plastic trim. Not a big deal other than I have curious kids. At some point, I may go all-out and pull the other side and go for an integrated solution with little shelves or bags that are sized to maximize the space. I was going to ask him the same thing, but then I realized he has the 4cyl. Same engine as last gen. The v6 doesn't have any yet from what I've seen.

Limited grille costs more than the SR grille. SR is a standard factory black while the Limited is painted a dark silver. I prefer SR/SR5 grills though.

It looks like there is a $100 difference between the SR and Limited grills.
Keep in mind you can recoup some of the cost by selling your original grill. I sold my Sport grill for $200. I swapped grills when my truck had 17 miles on her so the grill was like new.

 

Mine just came today while I am at work. Putting it in this Saturday. Along with OEM floor protectors, interior LEDs, rokblok mud flaps. Removing badging and vinyl between doors. And a good coat of wax.

I popped on the Viair 88P with the battery clip on so I would not fry wires or blow fuses in my truck. It has the long hose so should be no problem reaching all 4 tires. I also popped on the tool bag below to put it in along with my tire pressure gauge.

I really like the Limited grill, I think it would look sweet on my MGM. But $450 has me thinking about keeping my dipped cheese grater.

Yeah that limited grill would definitely look good on our MGM's. Is this available at truck/auto shops? Maybe they would have boxing day sale on this grill.
