Another vent visor thread - opinions needed

Ok, after reading many threads, still a little confused on best vent visor for my truck.

I think i am finally convinced on in channel, even though i dont like stretching out the channel.

But, the question is, best in-channel. EGR, AVS, Weathertech. I saw some pictures where the weathertechs come down all the way in the front. Are they still like that? I wouldnt like that. If you have pics handy that would help. Thanks guys

 

They all come down in the front, for good reason. At high speed, the water comes off the windshield and wraps around the window, then blows into the cab.

Just make sure you get the in-channel versions of any manufacturer.

I've got the AVS ones, they work great.

The weather tech's go all the way down to the window seal!!!!

 

I have the AVS in channel and this is my second set as the rears that only kind of stick in don't really stay in. If I have all the windows down the rears rattle a little. I will go take a pic of the front window so you can see where it ends

 

Goes right into where the mirror attaches to the truck

 

Thanks, thats what i was looking for. Some brands go down further, and personally i dont like the look. Though, i dont like the whole rattling part

 

Something to consider with the in channel visors is if you live in a windy area where dust or sand gets blown around, it gets in there and makes a pretty awesome scratching sound.


That being said I love my weather tech vent visors. They do come all way down in the front, but that is barely noticeable. They're so low profile you hardly notice them at all from the outside.

 

Trust him and me, get the weathertech's you wont be disappointed!!!! I had them on my 13 and loved them, waiting for them to bring them out for my 16 now!!!!!

 

I will be getting the Weathertech's myself once the warm weather comes as the rear one's still go on with tape in the weatherstripping. So you need to insert them and roll the window up and let it set for 24 to 48 hours. Did that twice with my AVS and they barely stick

The weathertech's don't use tape to hold them in. I believe for your back windows on your 4 door there are little metal clips that go up in the top that keep them in place!

That's to prevent them from falling out. I just put a set of them on my Uncles 2015 GMC Sierra and that's how they do it with the back door!!!!

 

You can buy them now and put them on, temperature don't matter!!!!

 

Watching the install now and the rears do use tape as well
