Good read. Definitely good to know. Not that I would want to have to fight, but a call to Toyota Corp. would probably straighten out the bill pretty quick. I don't anticipate my frame failing so I am not super concerned about anything other than if we qualify for the CRC application.

Yea I dug a litter deeper into the thread and saw a week for labor is about right. I just got back to town. Wifey was taking care of this for me so I'll see tomorrow what they say as far as what parts are on order and how long they expect it. Her impression from him was it was all going to be pretty quick though.
Glad to see it all came together for you. And all those black accents go good with the silver. See alot of silver around hard to make it unique. Looks good.

Well, after waiting for almost 7 months the truck is going in tomorrow for the frame to be replaced, failed inspection on 5/20/15 and got the call today. Will also need the rear u joint replaced and rear axle seal on the drivers side replaced. Will update sometime next week.

One of the reasons I love silver, it goes with the black so well. I'm too cheap to get paint matched stuff haha.

Well, I picked up my truck this afternoon and to say I'm impressed would be an understatement. The truck was washed and clean like when it was dropped off, no spots on the seats or carpet. They replaced the inner, outer tie rods, rack bushings, front coilovers and UCA'S I supplied. They also put a hose clamp around my driver, secondary converter heat shield. He also separated the exhaust on the passenger side @ a flange connector to replace the bolts and gasket @ my request.

All the work was completed with no charge to me on the paperwork. However I had told the Tech I would pay him for changing out the tie rods and rack bushings. The two Techs had big smiles on their faces after I handed them each an envelope with a bonus.

After firing up the truck and starting down the road the difference was immediately noticeable. After the 25 mile drive home everything seems good. It's like driving a brand new truck again, no pulling, wondering and no noises. The new rack bushings along with the other parts I supplied really tightened up my steering and improved the ride.

This was overall a painless experience and I'm very pleased with the outcome.

Would you mind posting the part #'s and where you purchased? My frame should be happening soon, and I'd like to do the same!

The rack bushing kit part number is - 8.10106R, the R designates red. Those are Energy Suspension components and I got them from Amazon. They were right at $50.00.

I bought the front coilovers, inner, outer tie rods and upper control arms from a guy here in the classifieds. They were takeoffs from his truck and had about 1000 miles on them.

My 06 is at the dealership right now for the frame replacement. Got called today and was told it needs new rear shocks. Now my truck is lifted. No idea what type of lift. I know it has Rancho shocks in the rear, any idea if regular/standard shocks would be ok to use as replacements?

My 2005 failed its frame inspection over the weekend at Eastern Shore in Daphne, AL. They never mentioned it to me until I go to pay and I see the remark on my invoice, unbelievable. They have no idea on how to proceed haven't seen one before and said the service GM will be back on Friday and give me a call. I called Toyota Corporate and opened a case in the meantime.

When my 2000 failed they wouldn't give me the keys back, this time they didn't even mention it until I asked. What have your experiences been?

Did you purchase this truck with the lift already done? You should post this up in a new thread, and state what type of lift you currently have on the truck. I'm sure you will get responses.
