I found this thread to figure out how to remove a blank from the dash. Started pulling everything apart then gave up.
I pried it out with my magic sick (nylon wedge) and body man.
5 seconds and it was out. No damage.

Hey Corey. I did get the same kit you bought and the lights that come with it are 55watts h-somethings. The stock fogs I have have a 19watt bulb. Do you think the stock fog light housing will be okay if run the 55watters in them?

    Hey guys,

Updated the original post showing some daytime pictures of the fogs on the front of the truck. In my opinion they make the truck look sick as hell, way better than the halogens!!! Updated it especially for you @0uTkAsT!!!!

    Hope you enjoy everyone!

Corey, I have all of the parts except for the bezels. They are to be in on Friday, and with temps predicted to be nearly 80 degrees, that is the day I'm going to install the fog lights. However, I have a few questions.

    1. In your step 4 are you saying to install two screws in each fog light bracket into the small round fitting? The kit did come with 4 screws. I ordered the same kit you referenced.

    2. At what point should I install the new bezels? Seems obvious, but I want to be sure.

    3. The fuse box in the cab has a cover or snap cap covering the fuses. It appears that after I install the fuse tap, the cover will not go back on. Did you just not replace the fuse box cover?

    4. In the fog light kit, at least in my kit, the wire that passes through the firewall is yellow. Don't think color matters, but I thought best to ask.

    5. With the fog lights installed, should the connector be aiming up or down?

I think that is all of the questions I have before I begin. I will mention that I did install fog lights on a 2007 Tacoma that was easy to do. Basically the same process other than was no need to remove bottom dash panel. I was a bit younger then, but I think I can install the fog lights on my 2016.

I'm 69 years old, disabled vet with only one good eye. If I can do it anyone can do it.

    Thank you

Hey Dave, If I lived closer to ya I'd defiantly be down for helping you out. Wish I did. But to answer all your questions here I go!!!

    1. There is 1 screw on each fog light, It needs to be screwed in from the back of the little circular piece in the plastic i circled on step 4.

    2. You can install the new bezels last, honestly it doesn't really matter when they go on. Last is what I'd say!

    3. The fuse box in the cab, you don't need to put that little cover back on it! I left mine off and put it with the rest of the spare parts I keep for my truck. It wont hurt anything to leave it off!

    4. No the color of the wire passing thru the firewall doesn't matter, just make sure you hook it up to the power wire like I showed!

    5. Not sure exactly what you mean by the connector being aimed up or down? Could ya clarify that?

Your welcome, I'm here to help ya guys out if ya have any questions!

    Corey,

What I meant was with the fog lights installed, does the wiring harness connector plug into the bottom or top of the fog light. I think the fog lights only go in one way. Haven't put the lights in yet. Just wanting to make sure I don't try putting the lights in upside down.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I can do it singlehandedly. I like challenges. I will take my time and follow your instructions with the detailed pictures. It probably won't be as big of a deal as I anticipate.

The Fogs only go in one way and are you installing the reflector fogs or the LED ones?

Should connect to the bottom... the bulb goes in and turns downward, so no water can get up in there....

Going to use the fog lights that came with the kit. Answers were what I thought, but there is nothing like confirmation to make sure I'm right.

Yes, that is what they look like. Will install with the plug on the light aiming down. The wiring harness will plug into the bottom of the fog light. I think I'm ready to give it a go.

I am more concerned with filling those blanks where the fog lights will go, but I also want them to work. Not too concerned with brightness. I don't (can't) drive at night or during inclement weather where I would have a need fog lights. I guess that is why I live in Alabsma. Thanks for your help.
