Where did you come from?

I've never joined a Toyota site until I decided on this one. I've been going between pretty much all the sites over the last few years, but joined here after getting completely disgusted by the way the membership treats people on the other sites...especially when someone new gets comments that are just plain uncalled for and rude. I've often thought about joining some of the other sites just to post one comment to bash the assholes...but I figure why bother, I'd just be wasting my time. I remember a new guy joining one of the other sites and was extremely excited about getting his first Toyota, and joining the forum as a proud new owner. The guys there completely ripped him a new asshole because he posted in the wrong area...Give me a break! They could have been halfway nice about it, but they turned on him so bad the guy never posted again...mad me sick to my stomach!

 

bought a tacoma, googled said tacoma, and now I'm here.

 

I was on Toyota Nation for a few months before I came here. Thanks to MsTRD (Sami) and those of the members I liked that came here from TN.

 

Tundrasolutions for I use to have a tundra.
Sold the tundy and got a tacoma but their tacoma section hardly gets any info so here I am.
But really the first forum was a listserve for my pre-tacoma toyota trucks or 4x4wire.

 

TW was my first. I signed up with TTORA and TN but am never really on there.

 

I joined ToyotaNation and this place at the same time. But after posting once or twice and reading other threads, I realized it was just a contest to who could make this biggest smartass comments. Haven't been there since last year except to search and see if anybody on there was running a 34" tire.

edit- just wanting to make it clear... Toyota Nation is the site Im talking bad about. I love Tacoma World. I can't think of anyway to make it any better!

 

i came from tn, and unlike other members on this website i think tw has more respect,class, and information than tn

 

I have recieved nothing but respect from here. People sometimes blame a whole forum for their own shortcomings. Tis a shame.

 

I just came here and I like it! I was on custom tacos and wasnt realy into that site, so decided to look on google and found TW. I will be at the meet and greet in tempe.

 

First TTORA, then TN then i found TW!

 

This popped the forum cherry. But I did have to go get a username at TTORA to look at the damn photos that get linked to occasionally from here.

 

BinderBulletin.com from when i had my International Scout. I have memberships at TN and CT, just liked it here better.

 

Back in 99 - I joined TTORA/PA Chapter. So - in a sense, that's where my initial Tacoma passion was born.

Since then...I've been off/on on various offroading/toyota forums, owned jeeps, dodges, and back into a tacoma again.

 

I was on custom tacos first, but I rarely made any posts. What drew me to tw was all the great info here and the fact that everyone here seems to want to help more than any other forum.

 

i used to be on yotatech mainly because i had a 3rd gen 4runner. shortly after buying my tacoma i found this site and now i dont go anywhere else since this site has a good atmosphere and very helpful people.

 

my true first forum was jeepforum from when i had a jeep but i started my toyota forums at ttora and still check that sometimes

 

None of the above. I spent a lot of time on mr2oc.com, thusly my screen name. I still have my MR2 but doesn't get driven too much these days.

 

Tocoma World is my first...

 

TW is my first forum,but i signed up on another forum idk which one might of been TN cause i wanted to see a thread about tranny. cooler install never posted anything though.
