Will do! Dakota and I were invited by another group to go and since @ChandlerDOOM was here I thought it would be a great way to introduce him to what the NW has to offer in the winter. I have to get new inner tie rod ends and new steering rack bushings put in before I drive my truck much more.. Steering is pretty loose right now

Blue sea and sPod are just a fuse box's aren't they? No need for a fuse or I'd think it would come inline with the wires.. Plus you aren't running a switch to inside.

I ran controls in cab and relocated the remote switch in cab. I wired a marine grade cut off switch under hood as a safety measure; so it goes winch ->cut off switch->battery. Wouldn't wire it to a fuse block, that's a disaster waiting to happen.

The winch actually has a battery shut off switch built in :D Plus a wireless remote so no reason to run in cab controls.
    Thanks man!!

I wouldn't want to because there are times you need to adjust the line or hold tension on it while you are winding it in.. Can be a hassle to have someone in your cab or hold your winch line

You just hook it up to the battery. No need for any fuse blocks. I did see a build where a guy did have a fuse, but i dont remember why, but the fuse was a 400amp fuse and the size of a baseball lol.

Ill be adding in cab controls one of these days. I have the switches and everything. Its just a matter of tapping into the wires on the solenoid. Ill have one power switch that provides the power to the actual in/out switch. The in/out switch is one you have to apply pressure to use so dropping something on it wont really do anything.

In cab is nice when its just you or you need to steer as you winch. Could do it with the remote too but id have to have it go through the window.

Course with a wireless remote its all the same so no need for controls anywhere lol
