I'm considering purchasing a Magnum (low pro truck rack, with lights) for my Tacoma 14 Access Cab 2.7 liter. I haven't seen a Tacoma, with a back rack, well where I'm from. I wanna know does anybody here has experience or has a back rack in their Taco? And if you do, can you post a photo of it? Thanks and happy holidays!!!

-I attached the Magnum back rack

I was also recently wondering that. You can rest long stuff like lumber or ladders on them so you can carry it and not damage the cab. Also some benefits of defending the cab to a degree in hard stop/wrecks when you have stuff in the bed.

So when loading stuff in the bed of the truck, you don't smash out the window.

Please let us know what you go with and how you like it, OP. I have been considering a headache rack for carrying lumber and whatnot.

image.jpg I just got one about a month ago. I got it because I like the look of a headache rack. Build quality seems very good.

Hey that's a nice looking rack, the 'backrack' was my favorite aesthetically so far. I like how this one is basically cab height.

@ACACIA3750 Is your back rack drilled or bolted? I was told by an after market vendor for back racks, tacoma's need a cap clamp to hold down the back rack.

YEah i was loading Drywall into the back of my truck with a buddy. I think it was like 27 sheets later it was at window hight and he pushed it in without stopping it and smash! In cnd a new rear window installed is like $750. This would have saved me lots of money lol

Magnum includes clamps with their headache racks for the Tacoma. The clamps work well and keep the rack secured. I have had zero issues with mine.

Magnum Low Pro Truck Rack $470 - $650 USD :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Holy sweet mother of rip-offs!

... and it's only clamped on. What's it for? Hanging Christmas lights?

    Hmmmmmm, Let's see:

    - FREE SHIT DAY while bouncing down road with no tonneau cover because the clamps are in the way of a tonneau install.

    - Coming out of WalFart.. "Hey, Honey, look at the two Homies in the civic with the roof mounted Magnum air spoiler.... very clever!"

    - "Hey, Honey, did you feel that clatter?... Holy shit, Sweetie! You should see the grille on the car following us, looks just like my new Magnum rack!"

    - or.... tool box secured in back of bed, rear ended, box launches forward, breaks/bends clamps .... "Hey, Honey, can you hand me that 14mm wrench that's stuck in the back of my head? I need to clamp down the Magnum rack."

The Canadian BackRack sells for $269 USD, plus another $39 to $49 for the universal adapters/risers, but you can easily make those... and you can bolt it down tight.

    Just sayin'

(How to install, post #44 in my build)
