Speaking of fluid pressure, I had to take some fork lift training today and had some knowledge laid on me about high pressure injection injuries. Pretty scary stuff considering I didn't even know how easy and lethal it was and how nasty to treat. I hate to think how many times I might have gotten maimed working with brake lines, compressed air, paint guns, grease guns, etc.

Don't worry, I use a new washer every time too.

It's designed to be crushed to form a seal. Meaning, once it's crushed it might not work the same way if you put it back on.

So i got home from work tonight, turned off the truck and noticed the lights were dim. Tried to turn the truck back on and all the lights went out and the truck didn't make a sound.

Opened the hood, everything was fine and connected firmly. I got back in the truck and the lights were bright again. Tried to start it and everything went dark immediately.

The battery and terminals are a month old. Bad battery? Is there any easy way to tell if my alternator is good?

Did you do anything with the fuse box? I had an issue like this where the positive lead came loose after doing some wiring. The white cable that bolts to the very top of the box (when looking from the side of the car). This cable provides all the B+ for the body electronics.

Otherwise check to see if its producing 14v. Then voltage drop to starter, then battery lead.

No those are junk. Save your self some money and get retrofits. If your putting HIDs, projectors give the right beam pattern.

So yesterday as my girlfriend and I were driving home I noticed a large lifted Ford 250 or 350. It was bright yellow, huge tires and wheels, and you could hear the big turbo whistle as it drove. He noticed me and my Tacoma, gave it gas, and let out a huge billow of smoke out its ass. As I pulled up next to him I noticed it was a couple young guys who kind of smirked and laughed at my truck. We both gave gas to our engines a little bit and we came up to a light where I flagged them for a ltitle go fast action. His buddy riding shotgun gave the hand signal for takeoff. I put it in 4 wheel drive and prepared for a lunch. The signal was given and I absolutely took off out of the hole with my front and rear tires losing a little traction. I was out of the hole and moving across the light before his 7000 pound truck could even launch. He stayed at least that truck length or two behind me the whole time. I can tell you how badass the turbo is on our trucks and what a great feeling to smoke the doors off of one of those big bad diesel trucks whose owners think they rule the street. After the little race they were cool and waved at me appreciating my Tacoma and I honked the horn back as we went our separate ways. Thought some of you guys might enjoy that story.

Hell yeah, man! Smaller, foreign trucks gotta earn some respect. These full-size, American pickups are great, but their owners seem to think they're king. Kudos to you for showing them where Tacos are at.

Thanks man! It was great. My gf was like, "you did real good." These Tacomas were designed badass. And the power to weight ratio is pretty nuts.

Ah, you had your gf with you. Even more reason to win that race. Can't look bad in front of her, now can ya?
I don't have a turbo (though this is one big mod I'd like to do one day) but just with the V6, I am impressed. And I guess having 4.10 gears makes that V6 seem a little peppier.

No, there are 3 of us currently in progress that I know of. Seen another one around but he bought his in Cali.

Yeah, the gearing makes a big difference too. Hoping I won't tear up the driveline when I go 4.88 with 35's.

It was on a private road who's owners put a light on it??? And never broke the speed limit, just accelerated quickly up to it??? Testing phase.
