New shoes for the Pro - 285/75/16s BFGoodrich KO2s. Currently have stock pro suspension up front and Icon AALs in the rear (overload taken out) for a slight rake. I've been wanting bigger tires for a while now but with a lot of unknowns about fitment in the pro, i was hesitant. Well, I got a killer deal on the KO2s in the 285/75/16s at my local discount tire on cyber monday so it was time!

Fits perfect! For those not sure about fitment, these fit pretty damn nicely. I thought there would definitely be some rubbing (I was worried about needing BMC, lots of trimming and potentially new UCAs after reading the forums) but the only thing I needed to modify was to remove the front mud flaps. No rubbing whatsoever on full lock or in reverse. Haven't gone off-roading yet so unsure about rubbing on full flex but not really concerned since there's still plenty of room in there. For those of you who own a tacoma with pro or baja suspension and were on the fence about getting bigger tires, just do it!

iloveoregon you have the same size tires,? but i see you still have the front flaps on,, any rubbing ?

Those things are sweet but they must be heavy. I think you are in for a pretty good mpg loss for that look. Let us know, I love the tires but I personally think they might be too heavy for our trucks.

The KM2s are no joke! My buddy has them on his FJ and ride great, especially on the trails/mud. Those would've definitely rubbed in the 285s which is why i went with the ko2s

Are you on stock pro suspension? The 285/70/16 should fit without rubbing even without aals since its a slightly smaller aspect ratio than mine. Again, ive got plenty of clearance now so you should be ok.

I have the metaltech 4x4 sliders powdercoated matte black.

They are definitely heavier than the stock size but didnt notice a significant difference in ride quality. What i lost in acceleration and fuel efficiency got back in off-road performance and the stance/agressive look

Same exact tires here too! Those are some great lookin Tacomas! Though I do have a Prorunner shocks and UCA which equals to about 2.5 in lift, I think I need a new AAL in the rear, since it's little saggy in the back. But what PSI do y'all have your 285/75 16s? I keep my at about 32-33psi since I'm mostly in town. If I'm taking a longer road trip I'll usually have them at 35psi. When I got them first mounted at Discount Tires they had them at 40psi, that was such a harsh ride home. Then I brought down the psi and it rides a little more smooth.

I have mine set at 34 psi, discount tire set them at 40 psi for me as well. Your ride looks good, how are you liking the rain guards? Thinking about getting those installed on mine with all this rain lol. Any noise/whistling?

Thanks bro, and yeah I heard y'all been getting loads of rain in the PNW. You probably can pipe some of that water down south to California, they'll pay top dollar too! Lol (I'm from SoCal) but livin' in Tulsa time now though. We get plenty of rain here. Anywho, the rain guards you mention, do you mean the AVS window vent visors? I like them, no whistling, I'm not too sure, but I think they eliminate gusts of wind from entering the cabin, and do help with keeping rain out if you wanna crack the window down a bit. I know they make the slimmer versions now, along with then hood deflector that fits a bit more flush with the vehicle, I might update to those sometime.

So with the Beadlocks, you can run 285's without cutting the body?

That might be the best worst thing ever. I told myself I wouldn't go 285 because I refused to cut the body...but if you can fit them without it...

Was thinking just that. First time the truck gets a tire stuffed up in that wheel well it's gonna bottom out on the inside of that fender flare.

    Mall Crawling = No Problem

Off-Road/Rock Crawling = Rub, Scrape, Ooops

Need Moar Liftz & Offset to prevent scrubbing

OP was speaking more towards the stock Baja and Pro owners, before the other stock suspension owners jump on this then flame him when they start rubbing more easily
