Hmmm. I tried to order an SR5 BR AC 4WD V6 with the basic SR 5 appearance pkg. this was early November. After two weeks the dealer told me that Toyota wasn't accepting my order. He got a nice DC in BR for another customer who changed his mind. I got that one.

    Sure there are.
Rancho Santa Margarita Toyota does AAA as does Larry H Miller Toyota in Corona. Larry also does Costco.

Fill out your info on the AAA site and submit. I was only referred to RSM, but when I told LHM I was going with RSM because of the AAA discount was better than their Costco discount, they said they also did AAA. I went with RSM as they are closer.

BTW, I dont think you can't just walk in and ask for the AAA discount, you have to submit a request through the AAA site and be referred to a dealer and contact at that dealer.

What model did you order??? They don't do AAA pricing on 7568, like I thought

    MSRP1*$35,240
    Estimated AAA Member Price2*
*This model is excluded from pre-negotiated member pricing. Please contact the dealer for details.

I ordered a 7559 (TRD Sport, 4x4, AC, Manual). It's rare, but he put it in his allocation. $600 over invoice. He told me the only Toyotas not in the AAA plan were the "Pro" style trucks and 4Runners.... but he may be misinformed, as I'm sure he does not know every discount they offer without specifically looking it up.

I built and ordered my truck down to the last detail, went through the Costco Auto Buyer program (no haggle), and I'm only paying $200 above invoice. I had to wait about 10 weeks for it to arrive, but it's worth it.

I'm not sure why this is being debated. Several of us have posted situations, in this thread alone, where we have walked into the dealer and custom ordered directly from the factory the exact truck and options we wanted. Granted, some salesman are lazy and don't want to do that, but that doesn't mean it can't happen.

Costco is the same no matter where you live, but the Auto Buyer Program has certain agreements with individual dealers. First they referred me to a dealer in Kansas City, Kansas, that wanted $500 over invoice, but I called them and they actually found me a dealer in Emporia, Kansas, that only charges $200 above invoice. Probably less overhead.

You shouldn't have had to pay a deposit. Unless you ordered it in Pink, they will have no problem selling that truck if you change your mind.

Everything that was written in this post is correct. A dealer 'can' put in what they want to Toyota and Toyota will see if any of their upcoming trucks match what they want. If they match, the truck will be allocated if hasn't already been allocated to another dealer

Costco is not doing anything for the TRD OR 4x4 DCLB

Costco doesn't do anything for any vehicle. They simply refer you to dealers whom they have agreements with.

You gotta love these forums, because people post bullshit, it's not verified, and others just accept it as a matter of fact.

Be wary of people that speak in absolutes. Anything is possible. They obviously don't know the right people, don't talk to the right people, or don't do their freakin homework.

    Please don't get ugly.
as for myself, I was asking for facts (educate me). As I was of the understanding that your dealer usually can find a match for a customer...but they don't "customer order" like domestic car builders do.
