Here we go. I prefer the look of the sport/limited fenders more than the matte ones on the Off-road so I decided to have a shop paint mine. IMG_20151208_160442.jpg IMG_20151208_161746.jpg IMG_20151208_161740.jpg IMG_20151208_161733.jpg IMG_20151208_160503.jpg IMG_20151208_160453.jpg

    Def looks better with black.

Love 'em with the white or QS tho.

I think everything but black looks good with the unpainted flares.

I like the contrast on my quicksand but the painted flares look good on your black. I can dig it either way!

I'm very happy with how it came out. The guy worked a great deal for me since it was a local family owned body shop who just so happens to do all the body work for the largest Toyota dealer in my city.

The shop I went to charged me $516 out the door. I feel that is a very good price, especially since a shop down the road wanted $850+

850 is ridiculous. 516 seems a bit high. but as they say "a good tattoo ain't cheap, and a cheap tattoo ain't good." Definitely got a good match on the color.

I personally like them painted. Others like the black. I have a feeling one of our sr5 owners would trade for matte black

Well $516 from a shop that does all the body work for one of the Toyota dealers in town. I figured around $125 a fender to be removed, painted and reinstalled isn't too bad.

It's probably early to be asking, but, how is the paint job holding up thus far? I have heard some say that the paint has a hard time adhering to the plastic.

    It's on there still

It's on there still, haha I know that doesn't help a lot. The paint shop did say to avoid high pressure car washes and to wash the truck by hand which is a pain sometimes. I hope the painted fenders last nearly as long as the paint on the rest of the vehicle.

Looks good. Did you have the off road flares painted? Or did you paint some smooth flares off the sport? Thats the first thing i will be doing to my off road when i get it. Im painting the chrome bumper inserts too. Thanks

I had the off-road flares painted. The shop had to sand the shit out of them to get that slightly textured finish smooth and ready for paint however.

Just bought a 2021 trd OR with everything I could possibly want on/in it......except the painted flares. Do you guys know if the cheapest option is to take to a body shop? Would they come painted if I got them from the parts dept at the dealership? The truck is black.

That looks rad, after seeking the picture above ^ i think black should come painted color matched, looks weird in matte
(post above if your reading, congrats on the truck!)
