Dude that looks sick. How did you do those headlights? I plan on doing something similar with my truck since it's red and really you can't do to many other colors with a red truck other than red. Haha

    Just a few LEDs...
There is a "shield" in front of the headlight bulb inside the housings. When I took the headlights apart (again) I attached a 6" long strip of side firing LEDs that I got from superbrightleds.com to the inside of this shield. I ran the wires out the hole where the shield attaches to the reflector bowl.

If you use the sand you can always open the bucket and spread the sand for grit. Cant tell you how many times I've used that when I got stuck away from home during a freezing rain that glazed everything in ice. Got stuck one time at a stop sign on a back road 2 blocks from my house. The road is a low spot and is uphill both ways.

.......or you could just not try to drive when you should be skating...but ya know.

I prefer to use an old truck inner tube. Cut it into pieces to make sand/gravel "sausages" with the ends secured with tie wire. Waterproof, easy to move, good amount of weight, and they pretty much stay put on a rubber bed mat.

Here is something I came up to secure my shovel and ax. The clamps are electrical conduit brackets bolted together. I also used wing nuts on the tool side for ease of removal of the tools.shovel and ax mount 001.jpg shovel and ax mount 002.jpg shovel and ax mount 003.jpg shovel and ax mount 004.jpg shovel and ax mount 005.jpg

Rigged up a Yakima Sky Box Cargo net ($30) on the underside of my cap. Will use for hanging fly rods & general stuff while camping, hunting & fishing. Attached using some knobs I threaded onto the rack mounting plate bolts.

These are not truck mods per se but I use them with my truck. Had some extra plywood, hinges, angle, and latches lying around so I built these to protect my Coleman camp gear. Only had to buy the handles on the ends. White gas stove and lantern are from 1959, propane stove 1980. Clothes pole has a wooden dowel inside to help support weight, rubber drawer liner material so your hangers don't slide and two dowels to keep the clothes arranged so I can see out of the center rear window. Skid plate materials were $42.00 ? frugal.camp gear 001.jpg camp gear 002.jpg camp gear 003.jpg camp gear 004.jpg camp gear 005.jpg camp gear 006.jpg camp gear 007.jpg camp gear 008.jpg camp gear 009.jpg camp gear 010.jpg

I was thinking of a classic Coleman sticker tastefully placed.

You could add some picture frame hangers, also picked up a cheap net from Harbor freight.

Looks good. I don't have the track system for all those mounting points. I only have the 4 Yakima mounting plates.

The holes seem to small to attach to the bolts.

Am I thinking about this wrong?

My bolts are 5/16".... Not sure I could drill a hole that big in those.
