Anyone out there have a tri-fold tonneau with KB Voodoo caps? I'd really like to replace my plastic caps stuff but have heard that most hard tonneaus will no longer work because the Voodoo caps are lower profile, resulting in a gap between the caps and the cover's frame.

    Looking for options. Thanks.

I have the bakflip G2 and yes, there is a gap between the cover and the bed. For me, it wasn't a big deal since i just wanted stuff out of sight and somewhat secure and water proof wasn't as big of an issue. It would be easy enough to get some sort of rubber or weather stripping to close the gap. Personally, I'd rather find a way to close the gap with the cover for the added strength the side rail caps give.

Thanks. Can the Bakflip clamps be machined to allow the cover to sit better on top of the rails? I know the clamps for the Undercover Flex have a vertical slot for one of the bolts that might allow for machining, and was curious if that might also be an option for the Bakflip.

The bakflip comes with its on side rail system. I lent it to my friend for a few weeks but I imagine you could cut the mounting slots on the rail a bit taller so they will sit down further but the other issue is that the plastic stock caps protrude further into the bed whereas the kb voodoo does not.

Heres the best picture I could find:

You can see the g2 rails sit a little higher. Also, its hard to see but that rubber weather stripping thing, even if it was lower, wont perfectly sit on the side rails. If you get a wider rubber type of piece, you could easily close that gap.

Anyone else have experience with Voodoo caps and tri-fold covers?
