-18 will stick out further than -12 but -12 is a more common setup on here. Depending on how wide your rim is -18 may cause you to actually rub more as this will affect your backspace. I'll let others chime in but IMO -12 is safer play

Sorry you got that information. I got a true 3" lift in front and a true 2" lift in the rear from my OME kit that was made for the 2nd gen's. I measured multiple times with my stock wheels and tires, with my new wheels and tires, and with my new rims, tires and lift. I can't speak for everyone else but it woked out well for me.

Why wouldn't they be getting the full 'potential' as far as height? What did they say was the issue? Maybe it's the weight, I know the 3rd gen is a couple hundred lbs heavier but if that is distributed across the vehicle and not isolated to the front then I wouldn't see that as an issue :notsure:

My guess is the weight and also because the 2015 comes 1 inch lower in the front

Your right on about the weight being heavier on the 16,and the height difference...16's being higher (Then imagine throwing a heavy winch bumper on top of that),and no matter what numbers anyone is coming up with after they install the lift, I will say again "Your not getting the full potential of the lift",sure you can install spacers and whatever else to come up with the height/numbers,but your not getting the full potential of the actual suspension lift itself...and if you do throw a winch bumper on your truck later, you may be in for a surprise immediately or down the road. Just talked to ARB this morning just to see when they would have the issues fixed, he said, "if they have supplies from their shelves that they can use, it will be a fast solution, and the kits will be sold with the update possibly within the next few weeks...but,If its something that has to be made especially for the 16's,then will be later in 2016 (February-April...rough estimate). They have a fella flying in from Australia tomorrow, who is going to assist with the BP 51 and any issues, and said the the BP 51 will be ready for a go on our trucks March/April. Sure, many folks on here are making the OME lift work, but I personally feel more comfortable spending my money on an updated OME lift specifically for the 2016,and therefore will wait. Like I said though, call ARB and hear it from the horses mouth 425 264 1391

I agree, I jumped the gun and ordered the 2015 5100 coilover 3 inch lift kit from toytec and I'm not getting 3 inches, the rear was a bit higher with the add leaf than my front. I will probably end up removing my leaf to make things even.

You mentioned it's possible to add a spacer above my coilover?
I'd be willing to throw a 1 inch spacers in there but I'm not sure how much this will stretch the suspension.

    Hmmm. I bought mine at:

    https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/2005-2015/ome-suspension-lift-kit/

They have 3 different options for coils. 884 being light, 885 medium, and 886 is for heavy front end weights (such as those with bumpers with winches). I chose to get medium coils because I have no plans of getting a front bumper armor/winch any time soon and if I do, Id simply switch to the heavy coils. I also opted for the front top plate spacers and I believe im receiving its full potential and have not encountered any issues so far. Again, im only speaking from experience. But if you'd like to go by what ARB says then its all good. Just like arb, the site I purchased from warned me that I may not get the "full potential" 3in lift before I completed my order. I just went ahead and ordered anyway since I was able to confirm with a fellow TW member that it worked on his 3rd gen as well. Mine ended up level with an actual 3in lift in front and 2in in the rear.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but what size tires are those?

Edit: Never mind I found it. 275/70R17

Interesting that they don't offer 887s as an option. n00bs!

I personally wouldn't add the spacer. A spacer will make a stiff ride, 'more stiff';and, Leads to suspension issues down the road.

Well You know better than I since you installed already;but, If ARB is saying hold off (the folks who are actually manufacturing the lift), I feel better about holding off. Your truck is sweet to say the least, and I am glad you hit your mark as far as the lift. Maybe if we keep this topic open over the next few weeks,ARB themselves will chime in and give us some feedback,as well as updates. As a matter of fact,I will go ahead and start a new thread on it.

Just remember there is a difference between say a revtek spacer lift and the top plate spacer offered by OME. The latter won't affect ride nor lead to suspension issues down the road.

Awesome any other pics? First icon stage one I've seen on a 2016. I have a stage 2 coming but debating needing the add a leaf ... Did u install the stage one coil overs right out of the box or did you adjust up or down any?

Your truck Looks great man. I'm not sure I want to add the Icon 1.5 AAL just yet. I'm putting Fox Coilovers with TC uppers on the front this weekend. I just want my tuck to sit either level or a tad bit higher in the front like yours. I'm not a fan of the stink bug look of stock taco
