Is 16500 too much to pay for 2006 Trd 4 wheel drive with 160,000 miles on it.It is a one owner truck with very detailed car fax

Don't know about pricing but Carfax means nothing. Bring it to your local mechanic and have it all checked out. Especially the frame, leafs, and wheel bearings. I am sure somebody else would chime in, but don't put any faith in any Carfax report.

No way I'd pay that much for any vehicle with 160k miles, even if it is a taco. You can find a better deal

You will, be patient and search high and low...she's out there! Hell, check the 2nd gen market place on here. Lots of really cool trucks being sold on this site.

Thanks for the advice. I will check it out to see what's out there. My plan is to hopefully find one under a 100,000 miles

Yeah you might have to go up a bit from 16500 to find under 100k but who knows, maybe not!

Just for reference, I bought my 07 double cab short bed TRD sport in July of 2014 from a dealer. It had aftermarket leather seats brand spanking new AT tires and 80k miles on the odometer. It was listed at 25k bought it for 21k.

There is at least one thread on here where people post how much they paid. Just search "how much did you pay tacomaworld" on Google.

Whats your max pirce range? Figure that out and then go from there. Do you want accessories or a newer one. Give and take on items.

I believe that's the biggest dilemma. My budget is 17,000 and everything around that price has a lot of miles on them in my area. Just really want Trd 4x4 drive v6 4 door automatic

Fwiw, a guy i play pool with has a 2008 offroad with 100,000 mi that he bought brand new. Hes older and it has never seen dirt. He wanted $15k for it. I wanted the truck and knew it was immaculate, but he didn't want to sell me it because we're friends and with 100k miles he didnt want me to get it from him and possibly have problems with it, Which i can understand. The moral of the story, you can do better.

It was hard to find. I had convinced myself that I would have to either buy new or pay the price of new for a 2013. This was one of the few I saw listed under 20K. Getting into Taco hunting I was disappointed to see that I really couldn't afford anything newer than a 2009. These trucks really hold their values.

I searched high and low all over the country for my truck and ended up buying a 2012 TRD OR Access cab with 12K on it for 24.5K but it was 8 hours away. You can find the right truck in your budget but you would need to be willing to travel for the right truck at the right price.

Bought my previous truck (2008 TRD Sport DCSB) with 85K on it for 19K in December.

I was all set to buy an 06' for $14.5k,then found out the interest rate was 7%. That with a FICO over 800! Luckily I stumbled across my 15' on Craigslist and payed 27K @ 2.44% interest.

Y'all guys have found some nice deals. I have found some decent deals on prerunners but no luck on the 4 door trd 4wd..They are all overpriced. So I'm keeping my eyes open and yes I may have to travel a bit to find great deals
