I'm about halfway through the book. I put it down a while ago because I don't really like the way it's written. I just picked it up again yesterday to try to finish it

If the engine is running and your alternator isn't charging, the battery light should come on on the dash. That light could mean several things though, I'm sure. Personally, it has only come on after I fried my alt.

Don't worry, I'm at 142,000 miles and I'm willing to bet I'm still on the factory plugs... Haha

I used Goo Gone. It's citrus based and will clean off. I put it on a cloth and wiped it over the PD and let it sit for a few minutes. then you can basically rub it off (get your minds out of the gutter :D )

You sure it isn't your starter going out? I'd take it to Autozone or somewhere similar and have your battery and alternator tested. Toyota dealers will do it too

Nice. I'm pretty sure I'm on original plugs. The previous owner kept a written notebook of repairs and I don't remember seeing spark plugs. He could have forgotten to write it down though. Who knows. I'm not worried, it runs fine :)

Battery cables might be corroded then and building resistance. Are they still original?

Pretty sure he just bought it.

Could be a lemon battery though.
