Yeah they said it would be IF they determine it to be the TSB. But if they think it isn't seems like they are going to nickle and dime me for the fee lol. I hate dealerships.

 

I hope it goes that way. But when the guy started off trying to sale me on the intake cleaning right off the bat after I already discussed the problem and gave him the printed out TSB I knew it might be one of those wonderful experiences. We shall see in a shortly I guess.

My dealer likes to play dumb when it comes to tsb's. They like to use the "we couldn't replicate the symptoms" excuse. I went through that crap with the rear end tsb. Finally got it done though.

 

It's obviously the lift and those oversized tires, Simon.

 

so they go between the wheel and the hub then I'm guessing?

Did yours come with 8 or 4? My rims have two different bolt patterns so I think it comes with 8 but I haven't checked.

 

Yup that is the experience I have had at every dealership. Part of the reason I am worried they will try and pull that crap with me now and charge me cause they "couldn't replicate the problem".
I told them I don't hear the noise much now that it is cooler but I heard it a lot this summer and when the weather was warmer. They started asking me all about what other services I had done suggesting I might need new spark plugs to correct the problem. I chimed in I replaced them 10k miles ago. Wish they would just do the damn TSB and stop trying to find out other ways to make money off of me at the same time, I get so frustrated at these things.

 

That is the next thing they will say....or the non oem muffler

 

10-4 Mike. I use AUtonation because it's close and over the years I've found that it depends on who you get to write up the service request. I use the same serivice adviser every time I have a issue and it hasn't been totally perfect but they always come thru! But I still don't like having to go there.

 

Not sure which autonation you use but I bought my truck from the autonation in Orlando (hate that place).
I drove all the way from Jax just to pick it up, they charged me $250 just to take the wheels off my 2011 (trade in) just to put them on my new truck 2012.
I couldn't believe that nickle and dime crap. Just spent $32k on a truck and then that...come on what a bunch of fluff

 

I'm in pinellas county. And I go there for parts and warranty work. I purchased my truck @ stadium toyota and got a smoking deal. That sucks they pealed ya like that!!

that blows, they wouldn't just do it in the first place or did you want to have the diagnostics?

 

So they did the TSB but not without pushing that intake, throttle body cleaning service real hard again lol. Telling me I had "so much carbon buildup it can really hinder performance"
I passed.

 

Nope I just wanted the TSB done. Nothing else. Even had it printed out for them and highlighted lol.

 

fuck that haha, Wesley Chapel Toyota gave me know issues. Must be because @Scooter WCT is there

 

I bought mine at Clearwater Toyota & other than this kind of crap they're pretty good.
