need shocks for 2" blocks

    I believe I did my research, but please confirm before I order or give suggestions.

    I ordered 2" blocks for the rear (not debating this part)
    Need shocks. I was going to order bilstein rear shocks (part #
    $112 33-230337 Monotube Shock Absorber, 46mm
    33-230337)
    Extended Length: 24.38"
    Collapsed Length: 15.02"
    $180 shipped.

    Does this sound ok?

    Yrs of back and forth between vendors.....some say 5100s good for 1.5".....some say 2"........ that said, they should be ok

    I don't recall the PN of the 5100s, but they were regular old 5100 rears.

    0-1" according to the previous post.

    No problems. You'll be fine also.

    A block is simplistic and easy to install. Yes an AAL or leaf pack is better, but for a new truck who cares? Wear the new components out and replace when a new leaf pack is needed. I don't blame OP for not sinking another $500-$1000 for new leafs.

    I'd pick a block over an AAL honestly. The block won't squeak, and if it's a street queen you won't tell a difference.
