How much of a pain would it be to do retorfits on the headlight of a drz? I think it would be sweet to be able to have a colored "demon eye" in the headlight or even a round light housing.

Should be pretty easy. Just a matter of taking apart the headlight housing. Ive thought about it and probably will eventually. Retrofits are pretty easy to do.

I am beyond jealous...I've wanted a DRZ for a few years now. I almost got my hands on a DRZ400SM but the guy sold it out from under me. One day I'm gonna get one!

I mean 0% financing for 60 months is hard to pass up. Just curious why you chose a 400 over a 400SM. Price?

My local dealer was loading up their 2013 SM model into a customer's truck the day I went to buy it. So I went to the next closest dealer. They had three S models in stock and had all of them discounted. So I milled it over in my head for a few days and went to a suzuki dealer day test ride event. Rode a DR650, which I had experienced before and never been crazy about, and a 2015 DRZ400SM. The SM was an absolute blast, I didn't want to get off of it. Pounded the ever living shit out of it. That set my mind on the 400 for sure.

Then came talking to the salesman....according to him, they had two SM models ordered and were not given a date on when they should be expected. He told me he could order another one or search local dealers for one....but it would be MSRP when they get it (because the demand was higher for that model at the time). I said don't bother, what can you do for me on an S model since you have three of them? He came back with $6200. I went home that evening and thought it over. Next week on my day off, I came back, test rode my bike and bought it on the spot.

In hind sight, i'd rather have gotten the SM model, but i'm very happy with my bike. I have a pile of trails in my area and everyone is on knobbies. I wanted the supermoto primarily because I wanted to buy a set of S model wheels for it and an S model speedo hub so I could switch the dirt/street setup any time I wanted. Now, I plan to keep this bike as a trail bike and buy a supermoto in 2-3 years. Or a street bike, i'm undecided.

I have thought about converting my bike but I don't think it is worth it with the older suspension technology.
