In Houston nowadays, but spend a lot of time in Austin for work/play... east Austin.

question on the fog lights. They do not come with a molex plug, it just has 2 wires coming out of the housing, they do fit the stock housing but there's no protection from water / elements....really?

    Am I missing something?

Mine came with a plug that fit into the OEM power. I just had to put the two wires through the holes in the plug and it attached perfectly!

They come with the terminals on the wires and two plastic black connector housings. You just have to insert the wires into the supplied connectors which makes it plug and play with the vehicle harness. Why they ship loose - I'm not sure. Perhaps easier adaptability between applications.

    I'm dumb

I found them...I've had the box for several weeks, and my truck was in the shop for 8 days and I put the connectors in a different spot so I'm officially an idiot.

    does polarity matter?

Polarity does matter. I found out the hard way. I think that's why they come with the connector separate. Figure out which wire goes to which and then put the plastic connector on.

Yeah, me too! How did you change the wires once you found out they were in the wrong spots?

I figured that out before plugging then in, done, wow the headlights looks so yellow now....ran out of time to do the HID install, but fogs look good.

I noticed that the factory bezel is not designed very well, on both driver and passenger, it does not have anything to grab onto on the inside section, both were separated from the bumper by a few mm, before I did the fog light install...one more small gripe I guess on the tacoma...oh well.

On flat ground my fogs hit the ground about 2 feet in front of the truck, after install with no adjustment if you are in the driver's seat the fog light's hit the ground about where the bottom of the bumper is, I did adjust them up considerably, now the beam is wider spread top to bottom and the top is just past the hood, while the bottom is about the where the fog lights are....this is from the point of view of the driver's seat. Now when I turn my headlights on they meet the fog lights well

The lights look great, they are a super improvement, aren't they...

Watch the Christmas Lights and the cops, over here on the lower end of the Island that is an automatic pull over and ticket, cops here have no sense of haha.

Huge improvement! Definitely happy I got the upgrade.

I leave the lights turned off for the most party, driving around my neighbourhood with the kids I'll turn them on for fun but if I head out to main streets I'll turn them back off. I know how anal the cops can be! Haha

So you guys aren't getting no shakes over bumpy roads and railroad tracks?

Seems odd. Maybe they sent you guys the upgraded bulbs. My crap shakes and I'm waiting for them to get the new o rings. I romp over bumpy roads so I noticed it shakes with a shadow

    Check:

    1. Battery + Connection
    2. Battery - Connection
    3. Battery + Fuse
    4. Connection of HID harness to OEM headlight connector.
    5. Verify no bent pins on the ballasts.
    6. Recheck that connectors are properly seated on the bulbs. Mine were a bit finicky.

Have you installed similar kits in the past?

    Mine locked in solid!

They're so bright I notice the cutoff line much more but the bulbs don't shake, the movement of the truck moves the cutoff line up and down but that's because of the truck and road. No shaking at all!
