It could be a "bad" battery. I'm not convinced however.
You installed it a month ago, and it worked perfectly all that time then became intermittent, with lights dimming and then coming back on full, not starting, then starting just fine.
Symptoms of corroded battery cables and electrical resistance.
In my experience a bad battery is bad right off the shelf. Meaning no start right from the start.

I'm betting the store you bought the battery from will replace it with no questions asked because this is fairly common.
I'm also betting you have the problem again. The cable clamps need to be clean of course, but I would also peel back some insulation on those 16 year old battery cables and see if the wire is turning green/black. If it's anything other than bright shiny copper, it's bad.

Corroded cables will not cause the ALT light to come on because they can carry voltage just fine. So the ECU sees voltage from the alternator. They cannot however carry amps anymore which is really what the battery needs to charge .

Hopefully it is just a bad battery and a nice easy fix though.

No the raptor liner will stick to pretty much anything. I just sanded it down and it worked great.

That new quicksand is way cool..when I was still living in Washington a guy saw my truck while I was in the tactical store and then found me to show me his..it was a 98 reg cab he did in red. I believe it was the monstaliner and you could barely tell it was lined. Looked hella clean. People at gas stations always trip out when they see mine..takes em a minute to realize the entire truck is sprayed

Looks like a blacked out retro with halos in front and behind the shroud.

Yea mine from a small distance looks pretty smooth. Only thing is, we had chunks in the paint and now there are sharp little chunks all over the body. We think its because we had the paint setting in our shop for almost a month, with high humidity and temp, its suppose to be stored in a cool dry place. It doesnt look horrible, kinda gives it some character but I wish it would have came out smooth. I'm still happy though.

So if anyone is going to do it, don't buy the paint tell your ready to actually paint it!!!

Go the the retrofit source and look at their complete retrofit kits. They have everything you want and you can look at all the shroud styles. D2S and H1 are the easier to do retrofits.

Mine is rougher in some spots and smooth in others..I like the rougher dimpled look..my only complaint is that you can tell its thicker in some spots.. And my baha fender rubbed some off the passenger door. But Its pretty flexible, even on my bug shield it hasn't cracked or chipped or anything. Now all I got to do is find your build thread so I can steal your grill:spy:
